Got out of line at La Brea Bakery

It seems that with tourist spots, the opinions are never made clear to the management. They must think everything is great because there is always a long line there and people don't like to complain when on vacation. I hope they're reading this.....

I just like their pretzel bread. I think we got it at LaBrea, anyway. It was a bakery in DTD.

We tend to stop in here when ever we want coffee. I know it's expensive but it doesn't seem THAT out of line to me. But then all we ever get there is bagles and coffee. I must be jaded about prices, but since I am usually only buying for myself it doesn't seem so painful.

That said since Jamba Juice came to town, I really prefer to go there instead if I just want something small for breakfast.

If a place makes a ton of money, always has more people than they can handle then why change it? For whatever reason theres a type of crowd that just loves the place!

carmel's post about the iced tea caught my attention. Unsweetened iced tea is my drink of choice. Is it going to be hard to find at DL? If I brave the lines and prices of La Brea Bakery, will I be able to take my cup of iced tea into the park with me?

Just look at the people who compalin about the parks, hotels, service etc, but Disney continues to rake it in. If we have an issue we bring it up..does it change anything? Most the time no. The GP just do not want to go out of their way.
Most folks will go back to the same hospital where they got poor service just because it is close!!!!

Yes, you can take it into the park with you. You can carry in any drink you buy at local shops, unless it's in a glass bottle.

Thanks, fairycat. Lipton has a bottled tea I like, but it's glass, so now I know to stay away from that.

You can always keep your bottles at the hotel and fill a large water bottle with the tea to carry into the parks. It's another way to also save money :)

Lipton also makes individual packets of iced tea(like Crystal light). I was skeptical but I tried it and they tasted great. It's almost like instant coffee but iced tea and it's all natural. Just add one to your water bottle and go. Lipton also makes cold brew bags that can be added to a large water bottle.

It got to be a running joke between me and my DD10 and DD5. Every eatery we would go by, I had to stop and ask for ice tea. I was 'watered-out' and I didn't want anything sweet. Carbonation kills my stomach and I would have sold my right arm for some tea.

We came upon La Brea and my, normally, completely tight-wadded DD11, told me to get the tea no matter what it costs. I did and we were joking all the way back to HoJos that it was liquid gold from the California Gold Rush.

It was, however, amazing.

Don't forget McD's on Harbor. You can get a large tea there and since it is plastic, take it in the park. Ask for no ice so it doesn't water down when the ice melts and you can get cups of ice in the park.

That's funny. But I also appreciate well-brewed tea. I agree about the carbonation. Soda can leave me feeling bloated and icky.

Over-priced, long waits, bad food and coffee. Not impressive experiences there. Had a double-cap ... they put in ice cold milk... I almost spit it out... had to wait in line for an exchange. they thought I was weird to want it warmed... let alone with steamed milk.

Now we go to Rain Forest for breakfast. FAST and good for the price point! $10 bucks each. Better than Dennys or other close by places. Typically, few breakfast guests since most do know they are open then. We are seated in 3-5 mins and it is less money than Brea! By the time we eat at RFC, especially during winter-time, we are ready to walk around and not cooled-off by sitting in the brisk morning air.
