Yeah, I wondered the same thing, is that a studio room or 1 bedroom unit? The views are absolutely stunning. What an amazing treat.

ETA: I searched OP's prior posting, and looks like OP posted about staying in an Ocean View studio, which is what I usually book.

I will be doing the same thing in 2 weeks. I am a DVC member and it will be my first time at Aulani.

I am taking my two adults sons.

We are using Aulani as our home base to explore the island, but we will certainly take in and enjoy everything the resort has to offer.

For best results, frame your request as "room ending in 84, highest floor available."

I just want to say I was thrilled with my room but full disclosure the pool is noisy. It did not bother me AT ALL. I liked hearing the laughter and occasional shrieks from the slide. It made me smile. We were high so maybe that helped and we were not disturbed at all with the slider closed. But if you want peace and quiet just something to consider

I'm not an acoustics expert but it definitely matters how high up you are as well as where you're positioned in the V of the resort.

When I was in 1450, I could hear the music from the Olelo room like it was five feet away even with my balcony door closed. Another time when I was roughly where you are but lower, I couldn't hear any noise from the waterslide, but the rushing water coming out of the slides themselves sounded like a waterfall.

Thanks! I was just going to ask about the 2bd because I think that is what we will most likely book. If not the 2bd, it will be the 1bd so this is VERY helpful. I'm on Day 28 of ROFR (Aulani) so I am stressfully waiting to get that email so I can hurry up and book for next year

So if you have a 2 BR pool garden room reserved it would be those same room numbers just lower floor rooms? Would end with 02, 08. 50. 74. 80. 86? What floors? Are first through third garden and the higher floors ocean view?

Yes, those are the room numbers for Poolside Garden 2BR. Poolside Garden is floors 1 through 5, Ocean is 6 and above. Floors 1 and 3 will be your most convenient, floor 5 would be the best view.

Unconfirmed, but there may be some rooms on floors 6 and 7 that have been reclassified to Poolside Garden as foliage has grown and ocean views may have become obstructed.
