Now really, look at my counter...isn't it flying or is it just me?

We got 1.74.33 from the post office, which isnt bad,better than the 1.62 we got last year

The lady in the post office said she has been 14times! and is off to the world for a week, she said she would rather do a week than nothing at all, and we agree!!

We have our dollars, our theme park tickets and our plane tickets came on Saturday!!!!

I'm not relishing getting up at 4.45 on The Big Day (Dad didn't want to do Twilight check in) but we are so excited!!!!

i got my dollars today....look at my trip counter!! i got 1.75 with lunn poly commission free and decided it was a good rate and not gonna change much ( fingers crossed) so i changed £800 into travellers chqs( one last thing to plan)

We got our currency from http://www.onlinefx.co.uk
if you pay for your money with a debit card delivery is free. However, please note that purchasing currency is treated as a cash advance and you are charged a fee by your bank. I think this possibly applies even if you are purchasing from someone like Thomas Cook. If you use a Nationwide card, they do not charge. I have found that the rate from onlinefx tends to be a tad higher, today the rate is 1.7793.

I wish my counter was like yours Beth!!!

And I bought my dollars back in January!! Wasnt I organised changing my money up so early?? I got an excellent exchange rate back then, but I just wanted to stress how important Kazd's remarks are about being charged if you use a debit card.

I wasnt aware of this, and paid for my dollars at a post office with my Abbey National debit card, thinking "wow, excellent rate, commission free, roll on October"!!

Only to find that when my bank statement arrived, I had been debited about £15. And I could not work out what it was.

I rang the Abbey. They said it wasnt them. Rang the post office. They also said it wasnt them!!

So, thinking I had a good deal, wasnt as "commission-free" as I had thought!!

Anyway, could someone now post a reply with a counter showing about 300 days!! And mine will look good then!!

Believe me, your counter will soon start ticking down...it only seems like yesterday it was xmas.
We have been meaning to get dollars for ages and finally did, we need more, and with the exchange rate soaring we will change some more this wkend hopefully..as long as it stays as it is or even higher

Cant wait to start packing, and getting sorted...I am so unorganised! when getting ready to go on hol LOL
