Got my waitlist in 8 hours!!! Now need room requests for Kidani 1br std please:)

So happy to have my wait list come through so quickly!!! Now I need the best location for a 1br std view at Kidani? What should i request to make our stay even better? We'd like to be close to the mug refills and the pool if that is possible...any suggestions are appreciated...this will be our first stay ever at AKV.

We asked for a room close to the lobby, but on the side closer to Jambo. Worked out well as we were close to the bus stop and mug station. The pool is on the other side, but it was still a very short walk. I wasn't more specific and it worked out well for us. Congrats on the wait list coming through so quickly.

I think you got my old reservation! We were waitlisted for BC because we have friends who are staying there and it came through wednesday. we were so excited! We love Kidani and had a standard view in Feb. We just requested close to lobby and got 4th floor right near elevator to lobby. It was perfect. Very close to pool, buses, etc. The only thing was we were looking at the front where the valet and buses pull up. Didn't bother us though. Have fun!

I would request as close as possible to pool and as high as possible. We did this in July and had a great view of the pool and a pretty good view of the savannah. I guess we just got lucky! Hopefully you will too! The walk to the lobby was long, but loved it as you could see animals all along the way. It often took us 20 minutes to get to the lobby because the kids stopped at every window and just couldn't believe they could see the animals. We were there for 6 nights and the walk never got old. You make room requests through Member Services when you make the reservation or any time after making the reservation.

OP: would suggest that you ask for pool view upper floor (for better view). Walk to lobby (with store with mug refills) will not be large from the standards with pool view as those standard views end along the north wing before the walk becomes enormously long to the lobby.

You can not "send a request" to anyone. The requests can only be made through member services, and it is best to make them at the same time you make the reservation. DVC does not allow faxed room requests.
