Got my wait list request - questions

Hello! I'm a newbie, this is my first reservation with DVC. We made a reservation right away, and the last night was unavailable. It became available, and I was emailed with a separate reservation and confirmation number for this last night.

- When I go onto MDE and link the last night's reservation, I only see my name and not the names of my other guests. Can I remedy this on MDE, or do I have to place a call to DVC? Or, maybe it doesn't matter? I am worried that it may matter when booking FP+ somehow.

- Looks like it wants to send us a second set of Magic Bands for this last night. Can we just use our bands associated with the primary reservation instead?

Thanks!! For some reason this all seems much more complicated than booking the entire package for a non-DVC trip.

If the last night is same room (resort, type, size) as your first reservation, then email MS and have them merge the reservations together as one. Otherwise you potentially might have to move rooms in the same hotel on that day. They can "link" the reservations together but if it's the exact same room criteria, it would be easier for them to just merge the two reservations together. MS has to do this, you cannot do it yourself online.

The bands are interchangeable. Not only can you use them on this trip but on future trips as well. Current policy is to issue new sets for each separate reservation. It's unknown whether this will change in the future. But all bands from all stays should work interchangeably, unless you manually deactivate a set on the MDE site.

Once the reservations are merged, if you still aren't seeing the whole party on the reservation in MDE, then you will need to call in for MDE help. It is a choice in the member services phone tree. Merging the reservations may fix your issue, though- and this you can accomplish simply emailing ms and asking them to do it.
