I am sooooo excited! We have airfare leftover that we have to use before March 10th and I just won an EBAY auction for two 5 Day Hopper Plus Tickets AND I listed an AUTHENTIC Prada handbag that I was given as a gift.

Anyway, I am VERY excited because I SAVED some money  by purchasing them on EBAY. Now, all I have to do is purchase a ticket for my little girl (4yrs old) and get a Value Room at POP and we are all set!!!! I am estimating the total trip price to be around $900.00 and will probably do the Meal Plan as well. That will be extra.

For those on tight Disney Budgets, I found that when we went in October, the meal plan was great and we ended up with tons of leftover snacks which we used for the plane trip home!!! :wizard: :bounce: :cool1: :bounce: Just color me EXCITED!!!

You can't add the dining plan unless it is part of a package, so you will have to buy a one day base ticket to go with the ticket you just purchased on EBAY.

WHOO HOO! Isn't it so great to have a trip in the works?? I hope your tickets on EBAY are legit and that they have all of their days left on them. Are they brand new?? How much of a discount did you get??

Just an FYI with the Prada bag. The boards don't like you listing item numbers for ebay when soliciting bidders. I personally would not buy such a pricey item on ebay when the seller has a 0 feeback. If it doesn't sell, I would try to build a little feedback first and then relist.

Also, buying park passes on ebay is a scary thing. There is no way to check if they are good until you are in Disney (which may be too late).

Good luck to you! Getting park passes on ebay is a big risk and even more since it is outside the US. Please let us know how you make out. That is a bit pricy as well...did you check with Disney regarding their prices?

When you get them, I'd try to find out if there are definately days on the pass but don't know if that's possible prior to arrival.

Hope things work out for you with the park tickets, I would be too scared they not legit or used up. Also you cannot add a meal plan unless you purchase at least one day park ticket.

OP, you might want to double check the ticket auctions you won. Although the title says "5-day" hoppers, these are used tickets that only have 3 days admission to the 4 main parks. There are either 1 or 2 days for the water parks--his description is very unclear, IMHO. ITA with whoever said the tickets were a little pricey. To me, the meager savings isn't worth the risk.

If you were aware that there are only 3 days remaining on the passes, then I suppose your biggest concern is whether or not they are legit passes. Good luck, OP. Since there is no way to check the remaining days until you are at WDW, I'm too big of a chicken to risk getting tickets on ebay. :scared1:

about having to purchase the base ticket for the Meal Plan. It is fine since the tickets I purchased on ebay are non-expiring. The individual I purchased them from has an EXCELLENT rating! And as another poster bluntly suggested...big ticket items should be purchased from someone with a good rating.

Let me also apologize for listing my ebay item number. I was caught up in the excitement of it all...sorry! :sad2:

I just looked up the tickets you won. You do realize that they are not really 5 day hoppers as they only have 3 park days and 1 plus option left on them.

I think you made a BIG boo-boo buying those tickets on eBay.. :( Make sure you have enough money with you on the trip to buy new tickets because I think you've been "taken"..

Also all tickets are now encoded with the person's biometrics- if they don't match and the holder cannot produce identification matching the name on the ticket you might not be allowed admission to the parks at all.

they are non expiring tickets and have no names on them. Neither did the tickets we had in October.

I just spoke with a Disney Representative and they said as long as the tickets are "non-expiring" then there would be no problem. Even if there were days used by another person and we are now in posession, as long as they are non-expiring tickets, we can use them.

As the tickets are Non-Expiring tickets from 2004, I do not believe that the finger scan was in effect then if that is what you mean by "biometrics". I was assured repeatedly by "Olaf" the Representative that the tickets are good for a lifetime or until all the days are used.

Also, I do realize the amount of days left on the tickets! It is the amount of days we were looking for...

Wish Me Luck! :hippie:

I'll bet that you did not tell him/her that you bought partially used tickets on eBay!

Buying tickets on eBay was extremely foolish and despite what the Disney rep told you, Disney tickets are non-transferable. Godd luck, you'll need it.

Well.... Olaf is NOT quoting Disney policy and since "olaf" is not a real name there is NO protection there. Tickets are ONLY good for the person who originally purchased them. If these wer purchased prior to the new finger scan you will probably be fine.

Although I cautioned my sister against it (because of the stories I had read here), she ordered her tickets on Ebay. I checked her auctions, & the seller does have very good feedback. The tickets are listed as "never been used" 5 day hoppers (for the 4 major parks). They expire in 14 days. The seller has sold WDW tickets before, & the feedback was positive. I guess what I'm wondering is, why do you all think any tickets purchased on Ebay is a scam? I hope these tickets are legit, because I doubt my sister will have the money to replace them. :guilty: Any further info. would be greatly appreciated. :)

Ouch. Even if that's what you were thinking, I think that was a little harsh. I think many of us have expressed--without being rude-- our concern that the tickets may end up not being legit. It's one thing to caution the OP, but to call someone foolish is not necessary, IMHO.

Not really. All ticket media now require a finger scan, even the old PHs and PHPs that you may have leftover from previous trips. If the tickets have been used since the summer of 2005, there will be (in all likelihood) a biometric scan associated with it.

Good luck to the OP. I hope all works out well for her. But everyone else should take heed when buying tickets from eBay. There are some legitimate ticket sellers on there but partially-used tickets are illegel to sell (according to Florida State Law) and eBay will pull any auction that sells partially-used tickets if they are made aware of it.

I have gotten tickets a couple of times and did alot of research and they were good and worth it and had disney quest as an extra which the kids loved. They never heard of it but loved it when they got there. Good job, love e-bay
