Stuck at work for a few more hours, but my room up at the Beach Club is ready for my arrival yay!

And I think Disney makes it a point to never give me the king bed I want. Oh well.

When you arrive it wouldn't hurt to stop by front desk to ask if there is a king available.

I tried calling the number in the room text and they said they checked their system and there aren't any. We won't be getting in until around 8/9pm tonight so I'm thinking there won't be much they could do at that point.

I'd still check. I don't know what number they give you in room ready text, having a Canadian cell phone they never text room ready But, it could be an off site number. Room assignor at resort may see something else. Or could be that a King will open up the next day.

My last Poly stay I didn't get my request for balcony, so I asked desk, and they were able to speak with room assignor and find me the perfect room for the next day. I didn't mind moving. I just left everything packed except for toiletries.

Since so many families are needing the sleeping surface of 2 Queens, There are only a few King rooms. It will always be a long shot where the stars have to totally align.

This is why DH and I book Mods when it's just the 2 of us traveling. We want confirmed king rooms. Too rare in the Deluxe rooms. We didn't get them too many times

I've never gotten the text either and I have a us cell. Oh wait I got a text once but it was 15 minutes after we stopped in at the front desk to make sure they knew we were there lol.

Yes, you can enter an e-mail address for notifications. Also, you may know this already, but a somewhat new feature in the app is that your room number will now (likely) show up there as well. On a recent trip I didn't get the text/e-mail but it did show up on the app.

We were offered a king bed for the first time ever on our last trip (we always request one).

However... the room was tiny and so undisney! They put us in a queen room instead and we were much happier!

Yes! At first when room ready texts first came out CMs at desk didn't know that non US phones wouldn't receive texts. Finally I read the fine print! Most of the time my rooms have been ready, but my last Poly stay it wasn't. I received my room ready email 3 hrs after we were in the room Works real well lol! I'm happy to see now apparently room ready shows up in MDE. MAYBE that will work better.

Having a great time just finished riding The Great Movie ride for the last time going to miss it.

Having the two queens isn't too bad, using it to relax on after the parks while dirty before showering since we will be sleeping in the other one.
