Got my pedometer..

We went to get salads at McDonalds and got the stepometers. Now I gotta find a cooler time of day to start walking with the baby to get up to 10,000 steps a day.

Who else is using pedometers?

DH bought me a pedometer for Christmas (I had asked him too)
In the winter I found it really pushed me to get my 10,000 daily steps
Now that the weather is nice enough to walk outside Im often up near 20,000 daily steps
Its a great incentive

I picked up an Adult Happy Meal today just so I could get the pedometer. I can't wait to use it at Disney next week. Mine is black but I was hoping for one of the other fun colors. Oh well. Happy walking!

I got one last week at McDonalds but it doesn't work
i walked out of the store and to the car maybe 30-40 steps total and it registered over 150
so i thought i had it placed wrong well i tried it later at home and same thing
then went to all 0000

so i guess i'll have to go buy a "real " one if i wanna really count steps

Yeah people have found they aren't always accurate and its odd cuz some people say they are right on with their other pedometers and others say theres no way.

But its getting me to walk and that was the point of them to begin with.

I too will be getting a better pedometer down the road.

Mine actually counts one step as 5! I just divide my totals by 5 and get my steps!

Melissa - I'll be sure to report back what my pedometer says per day when I get back. Yesterday my son and I went for a walk and we took 5,827 steps which is close to 2-1/2 miles. I love this thing!

I bought a pedometer and even the store ones can be difficult. I have to work to get mine in the right place to count my steps. What works one day might not work the next. I quit using mine. If anyone has types I would love to hear them.

I wear my digiwalker (digiwalker.com) everyday and it works great. Boy it really points out when I'm inactive!
