It was explained to me that the room key is both our park passes and room key - and will also use that for the dining plan as well. We will get these when we check in. There was a envelope size pcs. of paper that stated that check in is 3PM and at that time we would get our park admittance passes/room keys. If we arrive earlier than 3 we can pre-register and get the passes/room keys earlier but they would not admit us into the hotel rooms/activate the cards unless the room was ready - they would only be able to be used at the parks/restaurants.

We just got back. We stayed at ASSp. When we got there at 8:30 am our room was ready (I was pleasantly surprised) At check-in the give each member of your party a key(plastic card) They ask if you want your credit card on your key. We said yes -so the put $500 on the adult keys. If you get the credit on your key then at check out time you don't even need to go to the front desk. They leave an envelope on your door first thing in the morning you leave. It has a detailed statement you your credit expenses and if you are on the dining plan lists the places you ate at and the value of your meal--very interesting!!

We booked the first portion of our next trip thru AAA. Just curious, were the MNSSHP tickets included in your package or did your TA order them separately? I was planning on calling for our 2006 MVMCP tix myself when they become available.

Seriously, I can't let the TA do EVERYTHING! Where's the fun in that?!

For those that booked thru AAA how far in advance did you get your stuff? I'm completely paid up and leaving 10/15 -- I was told I should be getting the stuff soon but am just curious (and more than a LITTLE excited LOL)

We got ours Thursday, but it was Tuesday that AAA called and said they had the packet, so exactly three weeks before we leave -- very consistent with It's a Happy Day, although we already got our ME tags in the packet, which some have received a little closer to their trip.

Hi there,

I'm a AAA member and booked our room directly with a AAA discount. Is it possible to get the "special" parking pass and info on the "special" AAA lounge without having used an AAA TA?

Or are those two bonuses not really worth it?

Thanks in advance!

Chris :)

I called our TA and had her book them - they were in the packet with everything else but I know she had this stuff about 2 months ago - the passes came in about 2 weeks after ordering them (they have to be paid for when you call or your TA orders them)

Yes you can get these w/o using a TA to book a vacation - call your local office and explain that you have already booked a room with disney with AAA discount and would like to get the AAA diamond card & voucher for VIP lounge for when you are on your trip (my mom did this). You should not have to book a package to get these items. These items will alow you to get discounts on food at several restaurants and souvenier shops, closer parking at theme parks (not sure how close and this would only be applicable if driving or having a car onsite), and the lounge pass does give each member of your party a beverage (Disney standards approx. $10 for a party of 4 but not sure of beverage sizes 20oz/a can ???) So if your paying for a yearly AAA membership get your moneys worth out of it and get all you can from them - I would call and request them.

I got mine on Wednesday of last week, we did'nt think we would get it till about 2 weeks before we left but it came in early!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I got mine Saturday 9/10 and we leave Sunday Oct. 2nd. I'm very pleased - thought I would have to wait until a week before the trip. I used the SC travel office that was listed here awhile back.
