Booked my package for Disney for my family and my parents to go in September. Got both the free dining and the AAA room discounts. Since we have the free dining what are members of this board doing for your dining options? Should I go out there I believe is it Mousesavers and look at all of the menu and pick more of the upscale restaurants, ones we would normally not go to because of the price? Plus what books do you recommend I should buy? This will be one of many more posts to come of this knowledgeable boards.

I think you should go to the places you would enjoy. It doesn't have to be that you must get your money's worth (which you will no matter what you do). I have chosed places we enjoy, not just ones where we can maximize the plan.
Since you booked your package.............the rest is the fun part.....planning!

Well, sice I booked my package I spend my time emailing my travel agent even more questions!

I love you Rhonda, your the bestest travel agent ever!

Disney told me the same- that room only disc. can't be applied to packages. And for free dining you have to have a package.
How did you book?

I think the thing with AAA is that the agents sincerely believe that they are getting clients both discounts. When I booked with them, the TA told me that I had the free dining and the AAA room discount, as well as the ticket discount, but when DH and I sat down and did the math, we did get *only* the free dining. I am not complaining by any means, the free dining is a great savings, I would just encourage people to sit down and do a break-down of costs, because I think though the AAA TAs think they are getting the multuple discounts for clients, they may not be. Even after I mentioned my figures to the TA she was still asserting I got the other discounts, but the numbers just didn't add up.

That aside, I would go to any restaurant that strikes you, esp. since it is *free* anything you get is a savings :) We were thrilled to see that the Earl of Sandwich is now on the dining plan. It isn't pricey, but we love it, so we'll be going there. I would just find places that have the foods you will like and not worry about the best value for the plan, since anything is a value with it free.
