Got my first Disney Rewards bill. What do I do now?

The bill has by disney dream reward dollars listed, but I think I need to get another card, is that right? We're not going until August '07 so I have a while to accumulate points. Any direction would be appreciated.

If you mean you got your first VIsa Bill for your Disney branded CC, then yes, let the points add up before you trade them in. Around June next year or maybe MAy is the right time.

Don't order a reward card yet unless you have more than 20 points and want to spend them immediately!!! Don't request a rewards card until a few weeks before you are planning on spending them.

For example, right now I have 168 rewards built up (have had Disney Visa for a while and already used/spent over 500 points at WDW!!). We are going to WDW at beginning of November and I will probably order my card in late September/beginning of October and only put 20 reward dollars on it. When I am a few days away from my trip I will then transfer the rest of my reward dollars onto the card. Cards ordered in 2006 will expire December 2007. You can acess your account online to manage your rewards or over the phone.

Are you sure about this. I was under the inpression the cards are good for one year. I'm going on a trip in January. Going by what you say if I get my rewards card before I go then the card will expire before I even get to WDW. Just does not really seem right.

I think you are reading a bit wrong.

If you order your card anytime during a calender year ( Jan/06 -Dec/06)then you card will expire 1 year later on the following DEC ( DEC /07 )

If you are going in Jan/07 and ordered your card now then it would be good for then up until Dec of that year Dec/07

Also you don't need to spend the money right away when ordering the card.We put 50 points on ours when ordered in Feb for our June Trip .Then I will transfer whats left in my account right before I leave.
