I'm so excited. I picked up my documents for my 4/2 cruise at the TA today. I'm just starting to look through them (Keep in mind this is my first cruise so I'm a virgin at all this). So..as I'm reading through them I have a few questions.

1) I rec'd the passport to Disney Magic book which states the rules and so forth. It says that they do offer an unlimited soda program and that each guest can purchase a soda sticker to be placed on their Key to the World card. Once the sticker is acquired, you can receive unlimited soda at every bar on board and on CC just by showing your card to the bartender.

??...I thought I read here they did away with this program. Is Disney just behind on updating their book? It just seems so un-Disney to still have that in there if they discontinued it. Just curious.

2) In my travel booklet it shows my info as far as stateroom, cat, deck..etc. Then under Confirmed Dining it says "MAIN". I'm not sure what main is..is that considered early or late seating? Or do they not tell you what seating you have until you actually get on board?

3) It also says under embarkation time 1PM. So is that the latest you can arrive on the ship even though it doesn't depart until 5PM? Of course I plan on arriving early but I also read if you get there after 12pm you usually can get right on. I just dont want to do something so stupid and miss the boat!!! :rolleyes1

I think that's it for now. I'm sure I'll have more questions later :goodvibes
I can't believe I'm leaving in a Month

Yes they are behind on their documents....but no one is ever disappointed to get something they didn't expect.

Main means early

Official embarkation time is 1:00. Its usually earlier - as early as 11:45. You want to be on by 3:00pm. The ship won't move until after the safety drill.

Thanks Crisi for responding. Does anyone know about the unlimited soda? I'm a diet coke aholic which is why I'm asking. :)

Yes, soda is unliminited at the drink station on deck 9, in the dining rooms, but not at the bars, and room service. There are cups, ice, straws, and lids at the drink station constantly. There also is coffee, tea, juice, milk, hot chocolate there.

Enjoy your cruise... :sunny: :flower:

embarkation at 1:00 simply means passengers can start boarding at that time. The actual sailing away is at 4:30 pm.

You have the 6 o'clock dinner, They have unlimited soda, and as everyone has said its official embarkation time, but We alway get there really early, last time we went we were about the 20th set of people to get on the boat, me & my older sister sat down in the line by the entrance and just spread out 9we were a group od 8 so we had to strech :) and guess what! you'll be getting off the ship the day i board!!!!!! April 9 western for me, we got our docs Mon. ;)

35 days! :hourglass

The last few cruises we've been on, we were allowed to board at 1145.....In all of the cruises we've been on, boarding has never been later than 12....

As stated above DCL needs to update their booklet on the soda program....I don't like to use the word "free" as we all know we pay dearly for these cruises...so let's just say that the soda is now "included" in your cruise price.

The sailaway party is at 4:30 and the actualy ship departure is at 5:00 pm, barring any delays.

I was reading the little booklet that came with our docs today, it said you must be on the ship at least 1 and a half hours prior to sailing time (3:30) at the latest! so thats your deadline!

And if you want cheap entertainment, if the ship doesn't leave at 5 pm, get in a place where you can see the cruise teriminal. We had a Verandah that faced the port.....it was a hoot watching the Disney buses flying in with late passengers. One actually squealed it's tires getting there, it arrived at 5:45pm, we could watch the passengers running through the cruise terminal and onto the ship. We left 5 minutes later!!!
Sure glad that wasn't me. One more reason to fly in the day ahead!!!
