Don't get too excited. All I got was a flyer and the "membership card." The welcome letter, membership certificate and first copy od D23 magazine will be here in 1-2 weeks. The "special gift" will arrive separately.

haha I think that sorta thing is standard for membership cards so that there isn't any implied financial value. Regardless that's pretty funny under the circumstances.

Me neither- no official word to my email box, even though the countdown clock said I did.
But... I did join anyway. And I have gotten an email from disneyshopping that my "items" have been shipped.

I am looking forward to the magazine... and to future announcements.
I would LOVE to go to the Expo, but finances at this time do not allow for a trip to the other coast. Too far, too expensive. I think a lot of people are in the same situation these days.

Ekk, 75 bucks could buy me one night at Pop, I'd take that over a plastic card and magazine anyday. Plus I'm sure someone will scan the magazine online somewhere.

I bought the magazine at barnes and nobles. I thought I'd rather spend $16 than $75 and see if I like it. Its really nice. Its not really a magazine, more like a soft-cover book.

I was just going to do that, but I figure if you spend $16 each for the four magazines that's $64 right there so for another $11 you get the rest (whatever that may turn out to be!) I don't expect a lot but I joined mainly because I was curious.

For those waiting for the magazine, I think you'll really like it - I do. I think that when people start to see the magazine, the price will seem more fair than it sounds when people hear "magazine." Well, that's my 2 cents on the magazine for what its worth. I am also interested to see what the club offers.

I agree that if I am going to buy 4 mags, it pays to just join. But I was curious and wanted to see it first. So after I bought it, I am figuring that I may as well join. I'm going to wait until the next edition comes out and hopefully, I can have my membership start with the next publication since I have this one. I like to read disney books anyway so even if the club doesn't offer much, I'll still like the publications.

The only thing that makes me laugh is that members haven't received the "exclusive" magazine, but anyone could go to Barnes and Noble and spend 30 minutes and look through it and put it back on the shelf...you'd have thought members would receive theirs before it hit the shelves if they wanted to make it "exclusive." But maybe now that the program is running and people have signed up....it may change.
