Got my Appointment Through

Hi Everyone

A couple of weeks ago I told you all that I got quite a fright when I went into have my eyes tested, apparantely my pressure in my eyes are too high, and I only have sight in one eye as it is anyway when I went to the doctor he said he would refer me to hospital for more tests to see if it was glaucoma or not he also stated if you remember that it was a 24 week waiting list so after some encouragement from you guys I telephoned the doctor again and spoke to him about my concerns and worries about waiting that long.

It looks like it did the trick my appointment came through for 1st October at 2.15pm so instead of the stupid 24 week waiting list in total I will only have been waiting 6 weeks which isn't too bad I suppose, I think they must have taken into account the fact that I can only see out of the one eye as it is.

The other good thing is, is that the appointment is actually before I go to Florida so fingers crossed for me eveyone that it will be good news and that it is not the dreaded GLAUCOMA

I will let you know how I get on

I'm so glad the doctors can see you sooner than 24 weeks, although 6 weeks seems like such a long time to me.

Fingers are crossed that there is nothing seriously wrong with your eye and there is no glaucoma.

Well done for making the call to the doctor - it did the trick. The time will go by quite quickly - provided you don't think about it. Humph - easier said than done! But fingers crossed for you. Good luck.

Annie - I'm not sure about the Uri Geller thing, he always seems a bit weird too me, well they all do on that programme, but its just so hard to turn off isn't it....

I will keep you informed anyway as promised and like my DH said even if it is Glaucoma at least they will have caught it early enough to start treating it.

Well have a nice weekend all of you , because I'm certainly going to have a drink or two, at least I've got a good excuse and I'm sticking to it (lol)
