I got my AP voucher today! :cheer2: now I guess I can call DDE on monday
and get that all set up, right? by monday we will be doing the 50 day dance! :bounce: will 7 weeks be enough time you think to get the card in the mail? I know from previous posters you can use your email, but I would like a card if there is enough time! :hourglass

Sounds like your going just about the same time I am. I am going May 13-22. I am going to wait until April 1 to order that way it should be good thru end of April 2006. I would think they are able to get the cards to us a little faster since it has been available to all AP holders since Jan. I'm sure they had a huge influx of orders in Jan and Feb when people were finding out about it.
You could call and ask them how long it is taking for cards to arrive. If you do call please let us know what they say for the timeframe now. I also would like to have a card and not just an email.

Lori

I called and ordered mine earlier this week. They said it would take about six weeks.

We ordered our DDE and have not received the card yet. But you do get an e-mail with authorization for DDE use, it has an expiration date on it, but you can get it extendend by calling; that's if you do not get your card in the mail.

Woohoo!!!! I got our AP vouchers also!!!!! I am going to order our DDE on April 1st. I am hoping that they will not expired until May 2006!!

I'm ordering my DDE on Monday 3/21. we will be in WDW 5/10 thru 5/17
It doesnt matter to me the expiration date, as long as it is within our trip
dates, got the AP as a strategic manuver to upgrade resort/view at no net
addl cost, figure my realized cash savings will be with the DDE. And we will
be at the YC water view! Life is good................. :cool1:

How long did it take for you to receive your AP voucher? Did you order on the phone from CRO or on disneyworld.com?

Thanks!

I read over on the budget board that you couldn't get the DDE card with the voucher. It had to be the actual ap. I'm so glad to hear that isn't true! I'll be calling on Monday then! :cool1:

We ordered ours a few weeks ago and they said 6-8 weeks. You just have to give them the # on the back of the voucher.

The DDE is a disney Dining card that is available for $50 to AP holders and it will save you 20% at many sit down restaurants. For Up to 10 people. (If a resort does not have a sit down then it can be used at the counter service listed)

A DDE stands for Disney Dining Experience card. It is for Fl. residents or AP holders, and gives 20% off dining at certain restaurant and counter service throughout WDW. :flower:

thanks for letting me know, now my next silly question is what restaurants do you get the discount off of? Is there a list. Thanks again for responding.

I'm sure someone in the know will put up a link to the list, but basicly it works at every sit-down restaurant in the parks are resorts, and in the resorts that don't have sit-down (Pop, All-Stars) it works at the regular counter service food-court.

It costs $50 and the 20% can easily pay for itself in a few meals - I know some people who do it in one.

It's great!

When I ordered my cards on Feb. 8th, I didn't ask for the email or faxed letter, since my trip wasn't until April 2. I called last week, and Rosa said that we wouldn't have the cards before we left, so then she sent me the email. I'd advise asking for the email at the time that you order your cards, if that's possible. It'll save you calling back later. Also, when she sends the email, she attaches two documents. One is the list of restaurants, and the other is the permission letter. Make sure you print out and bring along the right one or both! :)

The way I understand it, if you receive a voucher the countdown doesn't begin until you activate it... but through certain methods of purchasing you receive the actual pass, not a voucher... and the count down begins immediately.

I ordered our AP's by a calling the WDTC @ 1-800-828-0228. The vouchers were here within a week of me calling and ordering. I was impressed at fast they arrived!!! I'm still going to wait to order my DDE card though until April 1st because someone on the board has told me that if I wait until then that the DDE won't expired until May 31st and my vouchers will be good until May 21st, because we are not going to activate them until May 20th.

I ordered my AP thursday 3/10 and got it in the mail friday 3/18-super fast! :earsgirl:

I thought the AP doesn't go into effect until you actually use it? I have my voucher for our May 14 trip and my understanding is when we trade it in at guest services that's when time starts running on it. I could be wrong :sad2: , this is my first AP.
