Got my AP Rate!!

Just got my AP rate of $88 for POR in Jan!!!!!! That's down from my AAA rate of $118. $30 savings per night!!!

Did you happen to ask how far out those AP rates are extending at this time? Are the rates out through March now or do they extend farther?

I'm waiting for June and I'm trying to determine how soon we might expect those rates based upon the latest dates released. I know last year I snagged my AP for June around the end of February, first of March.

I hate the waiting game--to me it would be much more efficient to offer the rates from the time the next year rates become available--October typically. When the AP rates are gone, they're gone. Then they could offer the "code" rates if they see the reservations are lower than expected as an enticement for those last minute planners. What am I thinking, that would be too easy!

I just called to see if I could apply the rate to my reservation for early February and Prince said I am so close that he sees where the block is there but the code won't be active until tomorrow.

I will be calling first thing tomorrow.

Hi Candlelady,

Is that $88 a night including tax? I also have a AAA rate at CSR for $118 a night but the $118 price includes tax.

Did you have to give them a code or did you just ask if Annual Pass rates were out yet?

Hi, I just got off the phone( 10/27/02 )making ressies for may 14-18 and the nice cm said I could call tomorrow and get AP rate for my trip. He gave me a code (I'm not sure if I can post it I will if someone says its ok) and said to call tomorrow.

Don't have any answers for you. I use a Disney specialist type travel agent. I let her know when I want to go and if I have an AP, AAA, or Disney Club card. She books at the cheapest rate she can and when other discounts come out, she changes the ressie for me and emails the confirmation #. Apparently the travel agents get the discounts before the general public.

I would never ever use anyone else or book it myself. It doesn't cost anything extra to use her, I think they get a percentage from Disney.

I've seen codes on here before so the code is CGL. He said the code is for AP. I had to ask him twice to make sure what he said was right and he said it was.
I'm so excited

Pretty sure that includes tax as she charged my cc for 1 night in the amount of $88.09. Plus the original ressie she sent me for $118 included tax. That makes the room $79 plus tax?(I think) lol, I confuse easily, that's why I let someone else take care of the ressies.

Yes your math is correct. If you were charged $88.09 inc tax then the room rate is $79 + 11.5%tax = $88.085 a night. $79 a night is a great rate for a moderate.

I called and the woman(CM) I got told me they were pending but that the computer noted they would be released on the 28th so I should call back tomorrow. She said she could not see any rates. I will be calling bright and early tomorrow morning.

Earlier today (about 1pm) I got my POR AP rate too!

I tried calling CRO, but kept getting cut off, so I tried DC. The CM was great! I told her about the disconnects and she said she would call me back if it happened again. I was calling to check on WL for my Birthday weekend trip in January with just me and DH. I tried a month ago to book there, but it was unavailable. We were already booked at POR, but thought I would see if anything freed up at WL. She tried WL and said no discounted rooms available, then tried POR and I got the AP rate. She took my info, but kept saying "I can't believe it, that wasn't supposed to work!"

Maybe trouble with the phones led to trouble with the computer systems too!!

At any rate I'm trilled to save $30 a night too. That justifies one more "nice dinner for two" with DH!!
