Got My Airline Tickets!

And I got a seat for my son, who is 2, and my daughter who was just born on 7/14/04! After reading some threads here about infants being on their parents' lap during a flight REALLY helped me decide that it is absolutely worth the $106.00 for her to have her own seat! USAirways is very good about discounting their fares for those under 2.

Just wanted to share because now the trip feels "real." Does that make sense?

That's such great news! Im so glad you bought both your kids seats! I can't tell you all the research I've seen on this topic!

Be sure that both their carseats are FAA approved for use on planes.

Congratulations! Glad to hear you purchased a seat for the children. We have always purchased seats for our kids. It's definately worth the money for the peace of mind.

We also just got our airline tickets on Tuesday. Southwest was having an awesome sale, $49 one way from Long Island to Orlando. I called to get a seat for DD who will be 8 months when we go and the CSR told me to book her online like I did for DH, DS-4 1/2 and myself. If I purchased an infant seat through him, it would have been $50 more.
