Got my ADR's for our trip (9/13 - 9/20). I went one over for table service so I'll have to come OOP, but that's OK with me! :cool1:

Boatwright's (night we get in - we'll eat at the Resort!)

Chef Mickey's (dinner)

Akershus - Princess Storybook (lunch)
Coral Reef (dinner)

Hollywood & Vine - Playhouse Dinsey (lunch)

Ohana (dinner)

Boma (dinner)

Le Cellier (dinner)

I'm really excited about Le Cellier, we're definitely steak people! :thumbsup2

Gotta love those restaurants!!

We didn't care for the Akershus - Princess Storybook (lunch). Just not into what was being served.

Funny you should say that - I was a little worried about the "Nordic Fare", but there was no way I was getting into the castle and I MUST give my DN8 and DN10 an experience with the princesses.:cloud9:
I guess the worst case scenario is we get a little snack after lunch if we can't eat the food. That's the best thing about FREE dining in my opinion!

Thanks for the feedback - always nice to get a feel for what you're getting into!!! :confused3

I loved the "old" Akershus food, and thought the current offerings are fine. In fact the poached cod I had was quite good, and it isn't the easiest dish to get just right. They also have pasta, pizza for the kids, etc. Several non-adventurous items. The Princesses were great, especially Jasmine. I really like her.

Portie

I like your lineup. It all looks de..lish! Your DNs should have no problem at Akershus for lunch. It everyday simple fare for them. Just check out the menus in the Dining Section of the Disney World Information link at the top of the page. LOL!:thumbsup2

If you are staying at POR I recommend Boatwright's for breakfast one morning! They have the most phenomenal stuffed french toast!!!!

I'm looking forward to that next week all most as much as my DFTW!!!

Looks like you made some good choices. Boatwrights on your first night is a smart move. We ate there for dinner last October and really enjoyed it. You also picked two of our favorites Boma & Le Cellier. I'm sure you will be happy with both these picks.

I am sooo excited and I'm 5 months out! :sad2:

This is my first trip in more than a decade to WDW and there were so many choices. I had no idea what to choose! :confused3

I used much of the feedback from this site when deciding. I've heard that Boatwrights is surprisingly good and so convenient for the first night.

Thanks so much for the feedback on the Princess Lunch - I'm glad to see that the kids won't starve without their pizza and chicken nuggets! :lmao:

I'm going to need a 12 step program to get off of these boards though! :rotfl2:

We're doing Boatwright's our first night too! We're going 9/9 to 9/17 so we'll see you at POR! :rotfl: This will be our 7th stay there- if you've never been, it's a wonderful resort.

All of the restaurants we're doing this year are a first. I did a lot of research before I booked last year so I knew what to pick. We did Le Cellier which was amazing (like everyone says) and also did Boma- make sure to ask for the free fruit smoothie if they don't offer it- my mom couldn't stop talking about it the rest of the trip! Also did Coral Reef- the chocolate wave was to die for, but stay away from the seafood souffle thing as an appetizer. Neither of us were a fan. They have a great blackened catfish meal but I don't like catfish so they made the same meal with tilapia for me! Very accomodating and you can't beat the atmosphere.

We're doing Chef Mickey's this year as well along with Ohana and Boatwrights!

Great choices- have fun! :mickeyjum

Great advice Karen - thanks!
I've never been to POR, but my mother is being an angel  and helping me since I agreed to bring my 2 nieces along with my son. She thought the serenity of POR would be just what she needed! :rotfl2:
