We booked ME with our original reservation 2 1/2 weeks ago. Four days after that I found a stellar rental car rate so I cancelled ME. Then today, a day after we returned home from our trip, we received our ME packet with luggage tags. 
DH wanted to book ME when he goes in April for the inline marathon but now won't just because he'll be checking skating equipment and doesn't want to risk it getting lost or showing up late. Does this happen often? Is one of the main glitches in the ME system?
