yea is has taken longer then that for me to do the first raceing pin
it took me an hour and a half

but if you get it i still think it is worth it

That is 67 hours, Mr Wazup, not minutes ;).

I beat that a while ago, the key is the take the pictures with the animals in the middle and to go slow while picking up the gas and film. Beware of the rocks though

That is the only thing that has annoyed me during this quest lol. I can take the slowness, unable to walk until 5 minutes after click and the constant dc'ing, but I could not, and I repeat, could NOT take the Jungle Cruise game!! lol. Your 67 hours beats my 34 hours lol. :p

wow 64 hours!

Well if they would stop resetting the green car quest I was going to shoot for a recod that would have blown that away But I guess we will see.

One thing that may help...

Turn off sound for your character. Click on the shirt as if you are going to change clothes and then click on the sound tab and get rid of the 'x' in each box. You should use less gas this way but you lose some of the sound cues of the animals appearing.

Wow, how does that work?
Thanks, I'll try it qruthie.

Oh Boomer ! I am so sorry ! Is it the jungle game that is stopping you ?

I wish I could do it for you, I am at least good enough to get you past that........just take deep breaths, watch for the smoke first ,put your arrow ( or gun site lol ) right on the middle of that dern creature and FIRE !
use your left hand to guide the boat left, right, and back to get the animals at the end........there is a delay for them, usually I have to push back up three times and then I can get the last few animals.
Keep trying ! Let me know if you get past this ! I will come with the fireworks !

There are noises of animals appearing? LOL I have not had the sound on vmk since before Halloween! LOL (I listen to other music on my computer). I must be really bad if playing without sound makes it easier!! LOL what else is new...lol rofl!

LOL, having a hard time boomer? Well, I thought Jungle Cruise was oing to be the hardest, turns out it was easy. Though, I was to lazy to do the quest before and.... uh let's say I have 75hours as mepersonal best :) I'm so proud of myself! I was aiming for 80, but 75! Outstadning on my account! WOOT! :thumbsup2:rotfl2: :woohoo:

(P.S. Sorry for the spelling mistakes, on the worst laptop in the house.)

Just try to beat my 75ish hours! I'd like to see you do that, and please don't cheat, I worked long and hard on this. LOL

Did you check the guide? It has some good help on this game... Here is that section in case you missed it.

---> Jungle cruise scoring
Thanks to Tolkein7 for these

1) Never, ever, use the arrow that propels your boat forward. It wastes gas and there is no point. If you don't use that key and you pick up all the cans, you won't run out of gas.

2) In the second and third rounds, your boat moves faster than the animals appear. You can miss many points this way. Use the arrow key that makes your boat go backwards, and hang around in the room until no more animals appear.

3) Center each shot and wait until the LAST possible moment. "Ok" is better than "flawless." Yes, this makes no sense, but it is also true.

4) Nothing ever changes - all of the animals are in the same spot each time (with a few exceptions) so once you play a few times, you can expect them to pop up in the same places.

I'll add another

5) If you have difficulty taking pictures and steering you can let someone else control the boat while you concentrate on taking pictures. They can avoid the hazards and pick up gas and film.

Question:
Do you ever get anything special other than 20 credits for playing Jungle Cruise? I got to the 30,000 mark but should I bother going further?

I got it, and I was amazed. GL with getting the points...

It worked for me on my old crappy, slow Mac. Shutting off the sound makes you able to move the view finder faster and the boat moves faster. The boat moving faster on its own is a good thing because the gas usage is on a timer. A faster boat (without using up arrow key) uses less gas.

A couple other things to try... Set your mouse tracking to fastest and set your mouse double click to something fairly fast but slow enough that you can double click in that amount of time.

Oh, the animals appear in the same places every time so get used to the patterns.

I confess, Jungle Cruise is the only game I was able to play well on my Mac. I got way too good at playing it.

Thanks for all the tips.
I am currently averaging at 25,000 ;).

I am using the new mentality that Alyce reccomended.
'OOooo, that crocodile will make a great handbag for my girlfriend.'
'My musketeer hat does need a new feather!'
'I've always wanted a hippopotamus coffee table.'

You know, as if to motivate myself to go faster, I always picture the animals as my mortal enemy, and replace the camera with a mega-laser-of-doom in my mind. A direct hit atomizes them, but unfortunatly, they always seem to come back in for another shot...

LOL ty for the tip!
I got 28,600. There is hope! And I was interrupted for almost a whole room! Please let this me my lucky cruise..
