Was able to get into HoJo's for our trip next week. Was able to book a NQQ2 room. Is there anything I need to know about these rooms? Is there any room better/view better than another that I should try to request. I've read the walk isn't bad, so we will probably not go with ART. We will be getting a car for part of the trip. How is the parking?

On another subject - I would like to get my daughter a gift basket of some sort. She is 13 and has just informed me she doesn't like the Disney stuff too much anymore. She must be her father's daughter. You would never hear me say those words. :confused3

Any help is appreciated.

The NQQ2 rooms in building 2 are our favorite! All of the times we have been there there has been plenty of parking. It's free and they give you a card at check in to put in your window showing you are staying there. Hojo is our favorite! Have a great time! :goodvibes

I was just there last week. We stayed in bldg 2, Garden view, ground floor. Right next to the adult pool. It was very quiet and comfortable. There was a lot of parking available, and now that the holiday is over it shouldn't be a problem at all.

The walk was very easy and quick. I have stayed at the Anabella and Paradise Pier hotel, and this was faster than either of those! Be sure you use the shortcut..

Have fun!

The Fairfield Inn is the big reddish L shaped building. To walk from there you just stay on the hotel side of the street and cross where you see the red bus on the sat photo. :thumbsup2

If you have a choice, we like Garden View. I should call it garden pool, but since it is the ONLY true pool, that just sounds silly. There's the pool in the Garden area and the water play area (with a hot tub and a toddler "pool", but no pool-pool). Anyway, the Garden (pool) area is quiet at night and in the mornings, so nice.

Parking isn't a big problem. I mean, you might not end up right near the entrance to your building, but it's not going to be 100 years away either.

As for gift baskets...there's no offsite basket place as far as I know. Maybe a normal flower delivery place could make something? I remember getting simple roses and babies breath on my 13th birthday and it made me feel ridiculously grown up...and maybe you could tuck a little disney gift card in there, just in case she sees something she likes. ;)

Thanks for all the great information.

Bumpershoot,

Our reservation says pool view. Will that put us in the area you are describing? Do we need to request an upper floor in order to stay away from the heavy steps above or is this not a problem?

We arrive early in the morning after an overnight flight. Do you think there will be any chance we will be able to get into our room before check-in time. I know we are going to be very tired but will enjoy the day to the extent we can. It would just be better to catch a nap before we go.

There was one time we were able to check in at about 9 AM in the morning. Another time we were there a couple hours early and it wasn't ready. If the room is ready, they will let you.
