A friend of mine said she got free dining for end of August. She said her trip is for 7 days and she got 6 day PH's. I told her that she should call her travel agent and get fewer days on her PH's or get the never expire option.

They plan to spend a day or so at the pool or a water park and really do not think they will want to go to the parks evdery day.

I am pretty sure she can reduce the number of days on her passes. My question is, when would she have to use the passes by? Do they need to be used on consecutive days?

I am in a similar situation-I forgot to ask CM
but I only booked a 1 day PH for a 4 day stay-when would I have to use the pass by-would it be the end of the 4 days

Might be best for her to call Disney to get the exact price.

However, if they are the expiry tickets they usually expire 14 days after first use. They do not have to be used on consecutive days. To add a park hopper option it is a flat rate of $45 per person. It is usually only a couple of dollars to go from a 7 day ticket to 6 day ticket, etc...

Might be a good idea to keep the additional days if it is infact on $1-$2 more per person incase they want to go in for a couple of hours or so. Ill see what I can find for rates.

Just got this off Disneys site,This is for a base ticket that expires.
I don't think these prices include tax.

adult:
1 day $67
2 day $132
3 day $192
4 day $202
5 day $206
6 day $208
7 day $210
8 day $212
9 day $214
10 day$216

child:
1 day $56
2 day $110
3 day $160
4 day $168
5 day $169
6 day $171
7 day $173
8 day $175
9 day $176
10day$177

Not sure exactly how much it is to add the waterparks n more but thought if you only wanted to do 1 day at a waterpark, and getting the expiry tickets it was better to pay out of pocket for it.? Can't remember.

Its only a difference of a couple of dollars each day after 3 days. IMO I would keep what she has since she may want to dine at one of the parks even if not "going" to the park for the day. If she added non expiration I think the price goes up a lot. She will have more options if she keeps all of the hopper days.

Cutting 3 days of a 6 day ticket.. would save her only about 7 or 8$ per ticket. Not very much in the grand scheme of things.

Adding water parks fun and more to each ticket would add about 55$ buck per ticket. If they are only going to a waterpark one day.. a one day waterpark ticket is only about 37$. Clearly.. better to pay out of pocket.

Adding never-expire almost never makes sense unless you have a short second trip in mind.

Remember, a 10 day never expire park hopper for adults is about 395$. For two five day trips.. this makes *some* sense.

For 472$, you can have an annual pass for an adult (which includes hopping). Really, if you're going for say.. 7 days and then again for 6 or 7 days.. this is almost your most economical option.
