Got BWV Standard View Studio @ 7 Month During F&W

......OK, so it was only for one night! But heck I expected to have to waitlist. I already had a reservation, but used up all of my BWV points for my spring and Fall trips. I wanted to add Saturday Oct. 15th to my Oct. 16-29 trip, but wanted to use my SSR points because I didn't want to borrow any BWV points. I was OK with having to move my first night, so called today and figured I'd book OKW and waitlist for a standard studio for Oct. 15th. I was shocked when my CM told me it was available.....I didn't see that coming at all. I actually kept waiting for her to come back and tell me...oops...I'm wrong. But no, so I got it without a waitlist. wow.

And since I had a good feeling about this CM I had her add first night QS dining to my daughter's May trip. I wanted QS for the first night of her trip so that they could get the mugs for their trip. It's such a good deal. For $94, they get 4 mugs, 8 CS, 8 Snacks. Considering the mugs would cost $60 alone, it was a no brainer to do this for them. Booking my extra night and modifying my DD's May trip took a total of 15 minutes. Pretty good.

Better than my call last week and I had a CM that asked me to explain the difference between a dedicated and lock-off studio because she didn't understand the difference! Yikes.

That's great! I just did something similar...I rented points and was set with Sun Oct 16 - Sun Oct 23. But i was looking at airfare, and coming home on Sat Oct 22 was much cheaper. So I asked the owner yesterday (right before the 7 month window! and that was just dumb luck that I was looking at airfare then), and he was able to move the reservation by 1 day, so now it's Sat Oct 15 - Sat Oct 22.

I thought I was really lucky that I thought of it right before the 7 month window, as I assumed that standard view studios would be snatched up really quick. I was actually surprised it was available yesterday! But good for us, I'm so excited, and I'm sure you are too!

It still seems that the weekend nights are easier to get. The point differential isn't that great for the most part. Congratulations that you got what you want!

Thanks! Yes to my advantage was 1 night and it was a weekend. To my disadvantage was F&W and standard. I was prepared to book elsewhere, so was totally shocked at it being available.

We were looking for the 15th and 16th and both BWV and BC were available. This was around 10:30 too. I was surprised as I thought I would have to stay at AKL for the entire weekend.

That is great. we are going Oct 18 to 25 at BWV. We have a 2br. I always hate having to waitlist. It makes me nervous. Had to do that last trip and hounded my DH everyday about out waitlist

This is great to hear! I was going to be going those same exact dates but have cancelled because DH is coming in the summer now.

But, it is nice to know that people got either BWV or BCV for F & W at 7 months for the next time we try!!!

I just canceled Oct 21 and 22 in two standard studios at BWV...moving over to Kidani to a savanah view one bedroom. Hope someone can use my cancelled studios!!!

Not great luck today. I called to book a preferred studio for my DD and family and there was no availability for Oct. 21 and 23. Strangely there was a standard studio for Oct. 21 (guess it was Goofy4tink's). I booked a 1 bedroom standard view for the week. More points than I wanted to spend, but I have to add on another day tomorrow, so couldn't really waitlist unless I could waitlist for the entire time. I'm not sure of her exact travel time yet until her DH gets his schedule, but as always I try to book a larger window and modify it if I need to. I was shocked that there was a standard 1 bedroom for the entire week available.
