Got BLT today at 7 mo window!

We were able to secure a LV lock off at BLT in a 2 BR for the week of 10-10 to 10-17!

We also cancelled a 2 BR BOARDWALK View at BWV for the same week, so I hope someone was lucky and was able to book that!

We did wait list for a BLT 2 BR MK view, either a lock off or dedicated. (prefer the L/O!) So, here is wishing for MK view

Congrats on getting what you were looking for! Let us know if your waitlist comes through. From what I've read here and other places, even BLT owners are having a hard time getting ANY room w/MK view.

Congrats!!! We are calling first thing Thursday morning to try and get an ANY view studio for Oct 12-17 for the first week of our Disneymoon! We are currently booked for BWV for 2 weeks but I really really want to try and get in BLT for the first week if we can!

Just curious why you would prefer the lock-off? We've never stayed in 2 BR so not sure what the difference is...

I originally had a 1 bedroom LV booked for early Dec and then over the weekend went to change it to a 2 bedroom LV which I had to waitlist the last 2 nights. I am curious if it will actually come through and how long I will have to wait to find out. Member services says that I have to wait for someone to cancel a 2 bedroom LV to get my dates. Does that sound strange to anyone? BLT is no where near sold out and LV's are the highest portion of inventory so I thought it seemed unusual.

We prefer the lock off because of our group. We will have 7 people in the two br unit, we are a couple with no children and we will be in the master br. We invited another couple to come with us just over 11 mo before the trip and they accepted, they also have no kids. Then we were all 4 on a cruise together this past December and our friends invited a single mom with her two kids to join us(she was also on the cruise, we all 5 spent alot of time together over the cruise). The 3 of them will be in the living room. So, with the lock off our couple friends can come and go without coming thru the 1 br portion of the unit and they will not need the second bed that a dedicated would give them.

The differences I can think of between a dedicated and a lock off are:
1) two doors into the unit from the hall for L/O, only one into the living room on a ded.
2) a queen bed and sofa bed in the L/O, two queen beds in a ded. ( the only exception to this is at BCV, there are SOME dedicated units with out the second bed.)
3) kitchenette in the L/O, more closet space in the ded.

Most people would prefer a dedicated unit, as it gives you a bed that is not a fold out couch in the 2nd br of the unit, but we do not need the second bed as a couple with no kids is sleeping in that part of the unit!

We had booked at home SSR- figured, what the heck, let's try for BLT- might be our only oppertunity ever to get a reservation at the 7 month window- and YES we did! I am so excited. We have a 7 yr old and an 18 month old so not having to get on a bus EVERY night will be a blessing!! See you in October!

Got a studio, no MK views to be spoken of , so took the lake view

The children in our group are going to be 6 and 10, maybe we will all be at the pool at the same time and the kids can play together!
