hi all ,
got back yesterday afternoonn from our 3 day trip, heres what we thought from first time there,

well after our problems the day before with the name being round the wrong way on air france ticket all was okay they did have to phone up to get confirmation of when i phoned up with the problem but all was fine

anyway brillant service from air france, flight was only 55 mins , you got free mags and papers and free drinks and croissants or sandwiches , very small plane couldn't belive how small compared to florida one.

taxi man was waiting outside arrivals gate so went straight in car ( airport was huge glad i had booked a taxi and don't think i could of found my way out otherwise very good quick service though from the airport)
taxi ride took just under 30mins to sequia , man was okay didn't say a word though paid him his 70euros plus 5 for a tip

so by 12.45pm we were in disney( flight was 9.30am so doing really well for time)
then guess what our room was ready for us and we had a free upgrade to a montana rm on the 7th floor, hotel was well we were dumbstruck it was fab!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so big and much nicer than all the pics show i think i thought it would be quite old looking at the pics people had took but it was so clean and luxurious it was the highlight of the holiday , anyway dumped the bags and went straight into the village didn't think that would be so close either its hard to get a good perspective just looking at pics in books on here etc but everything is so close we forgot our coats one day while in the park and just ran back for them!"!! couldn't do that in florida!!!

loved the main park , sorry we didn't like the studios at all it seemed so dull and boring ( sorry people that loved this park) it may have been us but it seemed freezing and depressing as well the kids kept fighting in here but the minute we walked into disney park the sun came out and i'm sure it was warmer and we went all happy and silly (disney magic again)

parks did seem quite busy most rides were 30mins wait , early in mornig was better only 5-10 mins wait

best ride : big mountain railroad loved this so much better than florida!
also buzz lightyear ride this was great fun, kids also loved autopoia and we all loved the lion king show

food was a bit limited we thought as me and my son are both veges and we did get sick of lasagne and pasta but it was fine we ate in sequioas both restaurants we much perfered beavers creek sit down one to the buffet hunters grill the buffet food seemed a bit cold and wasn't such a nice experience

pool was fab , free towels, we were told to just take the ones out of our room , free lockers too

the ony down point was there was quite a few things closed and there was no real parades or nothing of a night much to do , you couldn't eat in park restaurants when they were shut which was at 6pm so we only had the village and hotel to choose from , but we had wanted to eat in walts etc.. also a few rides, panaramique was closed , think it would be better when parks were open later in night as my 2 boys like staying up late ( 12 and 9 ) so weren't ready for bed at 8pm ish like others,we spent the night in our bar which was great with the lovely big settees and fire to snuggle up to

spent a lot of money it's not somewhere to go if you want a cheap holiday i think every meal was costing us about £100 for the 4 of us and with souverneirs etc but we knew it wasn't goning to be cheap there

had a look at the new york we were going to stay in , we were glad we choose our one it was much warmer feeling there and they are next to each other so proximity is not really anything different

think thats about it , really enjoyed it more than we thought but its hard not to compare to florida as so much looks just like it doesn't it!

Glad you enjoyed it overall :goodvibes

It can be a nuisance when a lot of places shut early in the evening - but the pay off is lack of crowds at this time of year. Although this year the Disneyland Park is shutting much earlier than last January, when it stayed open until 8 pm:confused3

It's definitely colder in the Studios - it doesn't seem to be as sheltered as the Disneyland Park. I neither love or loath the Studios, but I'm very much looking forward to the four new rides/attractions that are coming! I think they're really working to make the Studios are better park, so if you do go to DLP again, maybe you'll give the Studios another chance ;)

Welcome back :wave2: glad you had a good time :goodvibes

Our fave ride is BTM, it's definitely much better than WDW's version! :yay:

I prefer Character meet and greets in the Studios as the queues are always much smaller.:goodvibes

Glad you had a good time and a better experience of the SL pool than we did

Glad to hear that you had a lovely time. As Becky says I think they are looking to improve the Studios. It's a split decision in our house I'm not a fan of the Studios and Diane thinks it makes a nice change from the Disneyland Park :goodvibes

Great to hear you had a lovely time.

My sister loves the studios. There is a few attractions that I like and its nice to have a change of pace.
