We got back on Saturday from our 2 week stay at Fort Wilderness. Does anyone have any questions?

My only question is about the crowds...were they nearly unbearably large, or bearably large? ;)

I will jump in here. I just got back yesterday. Let me start by saying that we usually go in Oct-no crowds or heat so I went expecting the worst. We did everything we wanted to at all of the parks-with 10-20 min wait-average wait was about 10 min. Go early and use fastpass. We went early each and every day we went to a park, left by noon and back in the evening. MK was packed on this past Thurs-however, we got there for early entry-did the mountains, HM, POC, Buzz, and Fantasyland all before 10:30am and had to fight the crowds on the way out. Had a great time and would go again during the summer.

We got back yesterday too. We're also used to going in October/November, so we were very worried about crowds. It went beautifully, though. We avoided early entry parks and did fine even on days that we didn't quite get up as early as we'd planned. Got to eat everywhere we wanted without priority seating, rode Mission Space several times in one day, and walked into Philharmagic during the late morning. The only place we encountered uncomfortable lines and crowds was at Universal, and the Magic Kingdom became noticeably more crowded on Saturday. Oh, we also did one e-night, which was DEFINITELY worthwhile! :)

It was hot but not as bad as I was expecting. AK was very hot-but it usually is anyway. The days we didn't go to early entry-we were at the park at 9am and out by noon. I am from Mich so we don't get alot of hot, hot days and I found the weather to be manageable. As for rain, it rained just a couple of days and that was later on in the late afternoon/early evening hours.

Yes I have a question. Why did you go home?:teeth:

It was definately hot, mid 90s each day with a lot of humidity. It rained the 1st four days that we were there, then basically no rain after that. One 3-4 hour shower a couple of days, but it decreased lines and helped with the heat. MK was definately the busiest park. AK was manageable and we did everything in one day. The Safari was great and we saw more animals than we had on all of our previous trips. MGM was moderately busy, slowing down noticably after the parade. We got into Fantasmic twice (the first time it was cancelled due to a thunder storm). The second time we went to the 10:30 show, showing up at 10 pm. We had great seats front and center. Epcot was busy on the first Wednesday we went, but went back on Sunday to lower crowds. Very manageable with the exception of Test Track. 1 1/2 wait for standby and 40 min for fast pass. We went early and did as much as possible before 10 am. At 10 am all parks were noticably more crowded. We either left in the early afternoon or did less crowded shows. Back in the evening. The evening crowds were much larger than we have experienced in the past. We did everything we wanted to and some things multiple times. 2 weeks is the optimum time for us to go. By the end of the 2 weeks we were all ready to come home. Maybe it was because we have spent 4 weeks there in the last year.
