Got an interesting little keepsake today...

Had an funny but awesome thing happen today. Went to to see Nick and Judy right as we got into DCA. Line was very short, big plus. Wanted to be a little interactive with them so as soon as I approached Nick I asked, "Got and red wood today?". He gave me the finger guns gesture (the good one), then he motioned to someone for something we couldn't figure out. We got the picture and as we left I felt a tap on the shoulder and there was Nick holding out his hand with a piece of Redwood bark for me. I just gave him a big smile and thanked him for the gift. Made my day (and it was just starting!). Still smile when I remember that moment.

On a similar note it seems like this trip all the characters were more friendly than ever. All except for Pluto (and the princesses for us adults, of course) they hugged everyone. This was nice to see and receive, glad to see this happen.

Can you explain what you mean about the princesses with adults? I've always had really great interactions with them and am with only adults 99% of the time. Now I also have large tattoos of several princesses and go in with a lot of enthusiasm but I've never felt that my meets with them were any less magical than my meets with Mickey or Goofy (though Chip and Dale always seem to be a level up for me)

We actually gave flowers to the princesses to show how much we love them and had amazing conversations with them. @BatBunny I would like to say this publicly. I was NOT offended by your comment just sincerely confused and looking for an explination. You seemed to find that the princesses actively avoid hugging adults and I was simply trying explain that my experience was the opposite. I'm so glad you had such a magical moment with Nick and Judy (I had one myself with Judy when I told her I worked in a similar job and she gave me an extra hug and a thank you) I sincerely hope that I have not diminished this moment for you. That would just devastate me!
