Got an Elliptical Machine!

My husband called me yesterday and said he had a "surprise" for me. He bought me an elliptical machine! It's a Kettler Condor and he got it for $25 at GoodWill. We looked it up and the machine is "on sale" for $1,199 It even had the thick rubber mat to put under it (which retailed for $45). The stride on this thing is so smooth, better than the one at the gym where I joined!

I have NO excuses now.

Great deal! One of my favorite workouts on the elliptical is to do a five minute warmup and then intervals of one minute high intensity (going all out) and one minute lower intensity (to recover), do that 7 times and then 5 minute cooldown. The more you push the more calories you burn and you can keep track of your intensity by the calorie count at the end of the workout (I don't believe the calorie reading, but it does show if you were more or less intense than your previous workout).

Congratulations! What a sweet DH you have there. I WISH you the best with this new toy. I've been told by some jokesters that these workout machines make great clothes hangers. The only kind of clothes hanger you can use your machine for is workout clothes!--and you must be in them!

How neat. I have always wanted one. In the summer my DH and I picked up a AB Lounger at our local Thrift Store for only $15.00. I know they run up over $100.00 brand new.
