Got an awesome "wrong number" text

Maybe, just maybe--Teresa's phone got stolen?

Much easier though to bash her for her pious voice mail greeting because it is just well...easier and the DISboard way. Because phones never, ever get stolen or used by other people.:confused3

i thought "the DIS way" was for somebody to come along and rain on the OP's parade with their inability to see the humor in a situation?

Oh--I see you have edited...

I have provided my clarification. No need to take it personally.

I'm sorry your cornflakes have been ruined.

I appreciate the explanation. I thought you were on my case. And I apologize right back.

I ate Peanut butter crunch instead. :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: That is too funny!

I got a text a long time ago from a number I thought was DH's. It was VERY racy and we were not in the habit of sending racy texts to one another, we didn't have a text plan, and I didn't even know he ever texted.

So in the back of my mind I thought DH was texting this to someone else! :scared1: I asked him about it and he said it wasn't him. It took a long few minutes for me to realize that the text was from a number similar to DH's and was sent to me in error.

We still laugh about it! :rotfl:

That is hilarious!

This is the text my son recently received, "I have a bag of yellow squash from Ben's garden....just FYI. Maybe squash and ant larvae stir fry?"

For kicks my son replies, "YES! Sounds good! When are we eating?"

The person replies back, "At 5:30-6. I need a few minutes to catch a squirrel and grill it...need protein, too.

What do you want to do for church tonight? EPC, Hargroves, Plano, etc..."

My son dropped out of the conversation at this point. He was too weirded out!

Oh man I could have had a lot of fun leaving her a voicemail! "Hi Teresa...you don't know me but I received a text message from you that I believe was in error. I'm really glad that you must be in church praying about your anger management problems and looking for guidence to help you clean up your language"....:lmao:

:scared1::lmao::rotfl2:, Yep that would have done her in for sure!:rolleyes1

That's hilarious!

Dh once received a voice mail message that was similar in nature...the caller was ranting and raving, going on about how lazy the person was, what a no-good such and such he was, how he better get over there right now to pick up his blankety blank children...and then she paused and said, "oh, and bring me a piece of chicken when you come!" :lmao:

We were thinking that had the guy actually gotten the message, he would have probably poisoned that piece of chicken!

Actually, the disboard way is to find a way to come up with an excuse, no matter how implausible. Or better yet, a hidden disability made her do it!.

LOL... I find this one the best out of them all.

You forgot to sign it,

Love, GOD :rotfl:

Anyhoo...so DH CALLS THE SENDER back to inform them that they must've had the wrong number and that the whomever was supposed to get the message did not. Naturally the person didn't answer their phone, so he left a message.

The BEST part? The voicemail prompt he got when he called.

"Hi, this is Theresa. I'm either at the church or unable to answer the phone right now, so leave a message and HAVE A BLESSED DAY."

:lmao:

Indeed.

:rotfl2::rotfl2: Calling the sender back is something that I would have done, too! The voicemail message is too funny.

Aww and to think i never get good ones like this:rotfl:

I got 1 from someone wanting to know if my kids could have a puppy. Alas no kids, and at the time no doggie budget. So no puppy:sad2: But now that y'all make me remember it, perhaps I should have said yes and to bring it on over.

Also got a rambling apology from some guy in the middle of the night. I guess he had a bad breakup with his GF. I thought perhaps it should stay that way, so no reply to him either:rolleyes:
