Got an AP discount on short notice today!!

Hi guys-
I'm doing the happy dance today and wanted to share. We decided to plan a last minute trip to WDW on 7/30 for 4 nights. I decided to see if by chance there was anything left with an AP discount (old code EXE that came out over 2 months ago). I tried to get a last minute AP rate last December, but there was nothing left and I assumed I'd have the same luck this time. Much to my surprise, there seemed to be a lot of things left. I booked WL std view for $124/night. But they also had AKL std $124, AKL sav $205, FW Cabin $159. I didn't check on anything else, so if you're thinking of doing something last minute, you might get lucky too.

That's great! I did the same thing last week, booked for July 21-24. We needed a Disney fix. Unfortunately for me only WL room available was VP Suite, (no thanks!). BWI was $219 a night, booked POFQ for $99. Wish I could have gotten WL though!

Hi, Congrats on your discount. I am new to the ways of APs. I have a question... when you say you checked for discounts, were you able to do this online or did you have to call? I guess I am wondering how much AP planning they let you do online when you are past the 120 mark and so close to the start of your vacation. I'm hoping you tell me you did this online. I like the freedom of seeing it all out in front of you.... er, me.

Tinkerbellmagic, I have always called, use the 800#, 800-828-0228, ask for avaiability at passholders rate. They have alwys been very courteous. YOu can also just check the regular site and subtract $100 for deluxe, $50 for Moderate and $25 for values. These are historically what they have given for AP discounts

Hi tinkerbellmagic-
I had to call and give them the EXE code. I'm not sure if they're available on-line. Our APs expired in June and we weren't planning to get new ones until our September trip (now I'm wishing I'd just renewed them, but thats a different story). So, until the new ones arrive, I can't log in to the passholder web site anymore. According to Mousesavers, the EXE code gave you $75 off deluxe and HAFH, $50 off moderate, and $25 off value. That seems to be what I was being offered. The person I talked to was very friendly and more than happy to check several options for me.
