Got all my ADRs!!

Today was 180 days out and I got everything I wanted. My ADRs -

12/6 - Luau - 5:15 (already had this booked since March)
12/7 - Garden Grill - 11:40am
12/8 - Ohana - 7:30am, Kona Cafe - 5:00pm
12/9 - Chef Mickeys - 7:50am, Ohana - 5:00pm
12/10 - Le Cellier - 11:40am, Kona Cafe - 5:00pm

What amazed me was how there were already times slots that were taken up. For Chef Mickeys I was looking for 7:30, but it wasn't available and if I wanted around the same time I only had the option for 7:00 or 7:50am. Considering it's only 180 days out today and I called about 7:30am, these ADRs are being snapped up so quickly. I'm glad that I wanted what are basically off times, the benefit of having a 4 year old on an early schedule. I'm sure I'll want to change things around a zillion times before 12/6 and may even drop an ADR or two, but I felt such relief to at least get these scheduled now.

We're on the DDP, and of course I have more ADRs booked than TS credits, but I just couldn't whittle down what I wanted, although I could always drop one of the dinners at Kona. There are just too many good places to eat at, and you get that frenzy of wanting to get ADRs in and not get closed out of anywhere you might want to go.

I didn't realise you needed to book 180 days in advance. I thoughtr you couldn't book earlier than that so how are they booked?

Since you can book 180+10, I'm guessing the slots were taken by people who had been booking in the prior several days. But that means that alot of people, like myself, are booking at 180 and not waiting to see what's available later on.
