Got all my ADRs for March trip--what's wrong with this picture?

My last trip was October '14 and I became a complete ADR stalker because I couldn't get many reservations I wanted. I booked on Saturday (Sept. 19) for my upcoming March '16 trip and got every single reservation I wanted. I'm not complaining, but what gives? I thought Spring Break was supposed to be one of the worst times of year?

Was free dining going on during your Oct trip? If so that is probably the difference. Also, you are probably pretty close to the 180 days still for March and things are much easier at 180 days out.

Yes, they did have free dining during part of the October trip, but it wasn't announced until after my 180 day window had opened so I'm not sure what impact that had at the front end of the booking window. I also had a split stay in Oct, so I think that made everything more difficult too. I was just so pleasantly surprised this time around!

We usually get everything 180 days too. Don't be surprised. It's March so maybe that's got something to do with it.

You did GREAT things Sandy and I are back in April 2016... just like you, we'll be booking at our 180. We ALSO have not had any issues at all getting our restaurants. We're still not getting why some folks ARE having issues .

Me too!! 2/27 - 3/5. I'm still waiting on a Fantasmic dining package for 3/4, they just haven't posted yet.

All of Spring Break is not necessarily bad timing... the week directly before and after Easter Sunday tend to be the worst 2 weeks at that time to book anything!

We'll be there Good Friday through the Wednesday after Easter, and I had no trouble. Of course, maybe the restaurants and times I wanted aren't in high demand. I did get BOG dinner on Easter Sunday though, and it was pretty much wide open as far as times available.

Good luck to you! I hope you get everything you want. One thing we had in our favor, I think, is we're a small party of 3. That probably makes things easier. But I was up watching the clock and jumped on BOG right at 6am just to be sure!
It was kind of fun. LOL.

I think you brought me Good Luck!!! I was shocked but able to get every reservation we wanted to also include Be Our Guest at a reasonable time for my 2 year old!! We are also a smaller party (4) so I hope that helped! I was also amazed the website actually worked this year and I did not have to wait until 7AM to call like last year!

Good for you! I think all the talk of people having trouble getting the ADR's they want for this fall during FD, combined with the # of people who have said the simply couldn't get what they wanted w/o the help of a site that alerts you to openings, made many others think ADR's are always hard to get. Like Dean Marino I haven't had trouble getting any of the reservations we've wanted, on any of our many trips. And I usually don't book right at 180. However I am pretty flexible with our eating times which does help. I even got everything we wanted - BOG dinner included - for our upcoming trip over Thanksgiving I started booking our January ADR's a couple weeks after our 180 mark and got BOG dinner for that trip also, and am finding whatever I'm looking for. And I haven't even finished yet-no rush

I have to admit, I felt almost silly for all the agonizing I did about ADRs. I'm pretty sure I could've gotten almost any restaurant at any time. I knew going into it that when I was checking availability in the popular places (BOG) both the days before my trip and at other crowded times (Christmastime), I was finding available tables, so I couldn't imagine it was going to be all that difficult. But to hear people talk, you'd think a Be Our Guest dinner reservation was next to impossible to get. *shrug*. I guess they either have large parties, very specific times/days they want to eat, or are well past the 180-day mark when they are making their plans.
