got about a 2 foot space behind the closet door

in kids room - what could I put there to help with organization - naturally I have toys coming out my ears - stuffed animals, dolls.....
a tall narrow bookcase would fit, but I don't think it would help with organization much....really need to get things organized so the kids have a place to put it all....

I've got two sets of those rolling Rubbermaid 3-drawer containers. DD has pink, and DS has the primary colored ones. They hold a ton of stuff!!
