We are not regular visitors to WDW, once every 3 or 4 years. But, it is time to plan another trip so I ordered the new video. It came last Saturday and yesterday I received a "Happy Mailing". (This is what it says above the address box: "We just love happy mailings! Don't you?")

The offer is 5-Night/6-Day Package at Select Disney Value Resorts including Theme Park tickets (one park per day) - $371 per adult, based on adult double occupancy.

Must be booked by 12/23/08.

We have only stayed at moderate resorts in the past, and have gotten free tickets. Is this a good deal? Thanks for your advice.

I received the same one. We are using it for room only since we have AP. The difference in a Value room only is $13 per night. Since there are no AP rates available yet for dates starting the 28th of Sept and we are going to be there anyway I changed my reservation to reflect this savings. I did ask for the room only for Wilderness for Sept 28 and it is 205 per night with this code.

This is just what I was able to do with this code. What you have to do is price out the room and tickets (if you need them) and see if it's worth it to you. It is cheaper than the rack rate for the room only so I assume it will be a discount with the tickets added. A good rate is what you think a good deal is. If you are going anyway, Yes, of course this is cheaper. I did save about a night's stay on the 6 days I booked with this code.

Make sure that if you only want a room, you do tell the CM that the small print allows for this and tells you to ask about the room only. The first CM I called on Sat. told me you had to have the tickets as well. When I reread my email yesterday and saw the small print I called again and did get a discount on my room for room only. Realize also that now WDW charges extra for weekends as well as changes the rate as the seasons change (from Value season to Regular season etc., they didn't used to do this. If your booking started in Value season the whole reservation used to be that price, now it changes.) Good Luck.

We got the same one. We are staying 3 nights at POP with 3 day park hopper tix and the basic dining plan. Total savings is $169.50!!!! I'm so excited!! Funny thing about the pin: it came in my husband's name to my parents house (we lived there SEVERAL years ago). YAY!!!!!

It seems they used an old list!! Mine came in my maiden name. I had changed my name on Disney records 3 years ago and have stayed on property and have an AP all in the married name. Many others have said the same about being married now and the pin in the old name.

My trip is already booked and put on my Disney visa. Can I still call and use this offer. I booked room , park hopper tickets and dining plan? Thanks.

I had this card in my car. I went out and called Disney. We had 8 nights at POFQ with park hopper tickets and dining plan. i could not use the code at POFQ so we switched to Coronado Springs plus added an extra night w/ dining(we were debating the extra night but this made it easy)and saved $334. If we hadn't added the extra night the saving would have been around $500.
WooHoo :yay: :yay: :yay:

We booked 7 nights at POR, and 8 day Park Hoppers, for $1348 (party of 2). I priced these separately. The rack rate for the room would have been $1434, and the tickets would have been $598.54.

Using the Pin code, the room only price that the CM gave me wasn't good at all, something like $1200. So we opted for the package, even though we already have park tickets. Since they don't expire as long as they're unused, we can save them for some other time. But I did have the distinct feeling that the CM was trying to upsell me, so perhaps she was trying to steer me towards the package??? Either way, it was a good deal for us.

Hope you get a good deal as well!

I got this code also today. SO excited, have tried every way I can possibly think of to get one - don't know what worked but something did! Anyway, it's roughly about 20% off of room only. I tried to get POFQ but there were no rooms available with this pin. I booked CBR, and am hoping that by calling back a different day perhaps something will open up at POFQ.

I wonder if that ever happens or if I am just dreaming?

I did get rates at a few other hotels, POP was open for this code as well as WL. The moderates fit our price range for this trip though. It's not a big discount, but I am thankful for ANYTHING off of rack.

I thought they were supposed to do that also, but on the ressie I made 2 weeks ago for mid Nov '08 at CBR, all nights have the same rate. So, I'm wondering if they started that yet. Even when pricing online before calling, rates were listed the same everyday and we are there 9 nights so definitely covering the weekends. Currently I'm using my AAA rate, but will change when disney visa code comes out!

That's interesting, because DH and I have two long weekends booked at Value Resorts In Sept. and October (Thurs,Fri, Sat) and the price is the same for all nights. We got great deals on both of them (49.20 a night in September and 66.60 in October). But we've also had prices quoted to us that were higher for weekends, and the last time we stayed at WDW (May), we paid a higher "weekend" price.

It probably depends on what weekend. A holiday weekend you would probably be assured to be paying a higher rate.

I got the same pin and called yesterday. after doing research and checking prices, I can say that I will be saving $340. That's not too shabby!!!

It never hurts to call!! :)
