Got a PIN - have a question

I got a PIN today for "kids stay, play and dine" for free - free park tickets and dining plan for kids 3-9. This is a great offer, but I can't use it because the dates are 3/1 - 4/16, which is not doable for us. I know the PINs are non-transferrable, but my question is could I book and pay for a package for a family member without going along on the trip. For instance, if I booked the trip for my sister and her son, could I use the code, even though I can't go along. I suspect the answer is no, but I really hate to see such a good offer go to waste.

I believe the "non-transferable" part applies still in your case because you won't be available at check in, since your name would have to be on the reservation.

Someone correct me if I am wrong!

We booked a trip on Jan. 4 a few days later our son, who is not going with us got a code for our time frame. DH emailed guest services, asking if we could use it. They told us "no, his name has to be included on the reservation." We knew that but just wanted to be sure. Well, on Jan 13 we got our own pin code, which included the dates that we were already booked for. We used it to upgrade our resort.

So, my suggestion is to contact Disney. It can't hurt. (Do it by email. Too many cms on the phone 'can't' or won't look for codes attached to your name.)
