Got a pin code-not ungreatful but.......

I got an e-mail with a pin code today. Never thought I would ever get one. It was because I ordered the planning video. I mentioned when I ordered it that we would be going in November but now it is December.

We are going the first week of December and that week was not included in the offer of the discounted times but many others in value season were. My week is in value season so what do you make of that???? Also, it was for 20% off the room which I can probably get from AAA. When I saw the e-mail I was so hoping for 40%.

Does anyone ever get pin codes when they already have a room booked???

I think because though it is value season that particular week follows on the heels of turkey day, and when I called disney to switch from that week to sept instead, the Cm said that it looked like it was going to be busy that week of dec. and I should be glad I am changing...whatever that means. I wouldn't get too jacked up about that though, they are known to be wrong

I think some people have gotten pin codes when they have already booked...But the same Cm got nasty with me when I asked about a pin code and said " what does it matter you've already booked, the discounts are generally to entice people that haven't booked already..." needless to say I canceeled and went thru AAA instead.

The CM told me that the discount dates in December were 12/07/08 through 12/17/08 and none of our dates could fall outside of that to get the discount (I called and asked about a PIN code and there was one attached to my name- YAY!) So we booked for 12/07/08 to 12/14/08 even though that is Sunday to Sunday. Couldn't hurt to ask! Good luck

Please, what is a pin code? How do you get them?

I've booked for Dec. 5-11, and was told if any codes came available they would change my package price.

Has anyone had experience with this?

It's a discount code for the room but you have to get it e-mailed or mailed to you personally. If you belong to AAA, you may be able to call and see if your dates qualify for a 20% off discount for values and mods or 15% off deluxe.

I think that very first week of December has become increasingly popular, due to low crowds. Additionally, the Pop Warner championship games are usually played at WDW during that week, and Disney probably doesn't need to offer deep discounts for that week, since there will be a lot of those participants booking up rooms at the value and moderate resorts.
