Got a Pin but no rooms avail

I got a 40% off pin code. I called and there are NO regular moderate or deluxe rooms (2 bedroom suites, club level were avail for over $1000 per night) available during two separate time slots listed on the email. So I dont get it - why send out this email when there is nothing available for anyone to reserve? Seems kind of lame.

I had him check about 5 different times (all listed as part of the discounted dates), and nothing! I'll keep calling, but its kind of frustrating to have a code and not be able to use it. I am totally willing to change our vacation dates to get the discount.

Anyone else have this problem?

Sorry your pin didn't work out for you. Never haven't gotten a pin but know how it feels when a general discount come out & your resort or dates don't work out <sad> Keep calling !

I would call each day when the phone lines open at 7 am. The cancellations post overnight and you never know. Good Luck!

I think they allot a certain number of rooms for each type of offer. Give it a try.

Was it for 8/2-10 something? They were having problems with the pin code loading the dates properly. Try calling back today or tomorrow and check again.

I am getting discouraged about using the code. I have called every other day for the past week or so and nothing. It takes about an hour on the phone for them to check everything and all ... Ok, maybe not an hour but several minutes by the time you go thru the menu and finally get a cast member to help you. I am open to many dates, I give them 3 or 4 different scenarios to check and there are no 'regular' rooms avail ever.

I dont know if I'll keep trying or what.. has anyone had success using the 40% off code lately? Am I beating a dead horse here?

I called yesterday and was able to get a room with our 40% off code!!!!! I am so darn excited. I can hardly contain myself. We got Yacht Club for $195 per night for the end of August. That sounds like a great price to me. I could have gotten Grand Floridian for $245 a night which also sounds great, but we chose the YC for the location.

So I guess it pays to whine a little here on the Dis boards and then keep calling.
