Got a great e-mail code (but with a pin so I can't share)

I just have to tell someone! Got the e-mail, apparently from something I signed up for at disney.com (it said so) and Tammy at DU called and got me GREAT rates. It advertised moderates from $84, but I got CR tower for $219 plus tax and AKL Deluxe Savannah for $239 plus tax- both better than any of the other codes we had tried for mid-June. I guess it was my lucky day. Last Sat. I got the postcard advertising moderates for $94. They must really want me to get down there. It has been a while - haven't stayed overnight since 1998 when we got the tower for $199. We were going to do standard view until this rate became available. Just FYI, standard was not available at this rate. Doubt there will be many discounts there with SOG taking so much. I was worried about being shunted off into a smoking room in the south wing.

when you booked your room, were you told that the total room cost had to be paid within 14 days?
That is what happened to me when I booked the AKL for $209 a nite including tax.

Just a thought- I could have sworn I was speaking to a CRO: However, when she gave me the total fees, which were about $18.00 a nite cheaper than using a publicized code, she told me my room had to be paid by March 7th. Did you have the same experience???

I am wondering if paying for the total cost of the room has to do with the code you get

No, I just have to pay one night's deposit by March 6 and then the rest is due at checkin. Cancellation must be 5 days in advance. As far as I can tell, it's a regular CRO payment and cancellation policy. Are you sure it's not just your deposit you have to pay by March 7?

I love living in NJ but one downside is that it doesn't seem like we ever qualify for postcards or email codes. What's that all about? Has anyone ever heard of somebody from NJ getting a postcard?

Another Jersey girl who just received her first post card ever - not one with the pin, just the same deal anyone can get from the web site - but a postcard nonetheless! Too bad it's only until 6/22 - I can't go until Aug - when is the e-mail code good until?

At the bottom it says: "You've received this message because you provided your e-mail address and wanted to hear more about upcoming Disney events, future vacations and offers via e-mail" and it has a click through to opt out, but no way am I clicking that to see where it goes. Perhaps this comes from being a registered member of Disney.com. I also used to enter last year's contest daily, so I was logging on every day, but I can't remember when I said I wanted to receive e-mail. I do receive the family.com e-mails.
