Just made reservations at Coronado Springs in mid June for $109 per night Pool/Lake view. Need a ride from the airport to Disney, any suggestions, (cab, shuttle, limo)?

Check the top of the Transportation board. There's an ad for a limo service there.

Mears is quite popular-
$23.00 R/t I believe a tad less for children

We have always had a town car come and pick us up at the airport, take us to the resort and then back to the airport. They greet you at the baggage claim and will even make a 30 minute grocery stop if you need it. Fl. Tours helps sponsor the site and I have heard they were excellent. We will be using them in May, and if all goes well, for our trip in June.

We have never used Mears, but with 2 kids, 1 in a carseat, it is more convinent to use a towncar service. Mears is $29 roundtrip each person, but you are usually on a shuttle with other people and stop at other resorts before yours. I have also heard of people being picked up many hours before their plane leaves.

If you go over to the transportation board others will be there to help answer your question.

We used Tiffany Town Car last year to go to the Coronado Spring and back.

Very nice.

I'll move this over to the Transportation board. You'll get lots of help from those folks! :)

We also used Florida Tours....they were great .
We used to use Mears but after using a towncar we will never go back to that.
Don't get me wrong ....we had never had a problem with mears but it was just so nice to hop in the car and go right to our resort....no waiting.

Consider renting a car one-way from MCO to WDW. I think Alamo is the "official" WDW car company (?), and last Jan I got a pretty decent price ($35 tax incl?), using usual codes (or was it National?). I had the car for 23 hours, could do my grocery run, etc. Shuttle back to hotel is available. To make online ressie, search Alamo locations for the correct code for the drop-off site.

Happy Limo does include the gratuity. We use them all the time. We once used a cab from WDW to the airport due to a last minute trip change, and it was more expensive than a towncar. I've never had any problems with reliability, even when our flight has arrived late (once two hours!).

I've used Your Ride more times than I can remember. I've also used Tiffany and Cartier. It was $85.00...plus a tip that was at my discretion...never anything additional. And that has included carseat/booster and grocery stop. I'm not new at the disney thing. I've used many a limo service and know what questions to ask. So I am back to my original statement...how is a cab cheaper....you are still at $80--$85. Not any cheaper if I print the $5.00 coupon online.

For me to try a cab it would have to be significantly cheaper. I'm familiar w/ towncars as many on this site are and to change well....I think you know the answer to that question. I've also checked the websites you have mentioned. And just rechecked them b/c they seem different from the list I came up w/ a month ago. This is what I found for roundtrip transfers from MCO to AKL which is what you quoted me. Anyone can go on the website and check. This is not the debate board so I will end it here.

Your ride is $85.00 +tip w/ oline coupon
Cartier is $85.00 +tip if make reservations online
Tiffany is $85.00 + tip w/ online coupon
Pay less is $70.00 + tip w/ online coupon

I know FL Tours is more expensive didn't bother to check. Plus I think my point is made.

Thanks for doing the research. Really doesn't seem to be much question that a towncar is a better deal than a cab.

Previous poster may offer meet and greet, flat rate and free grocery stop BUT THAT'S NOT THE WAY airport taxi service works for most. Previous poster already said the typical meter charge to AKL is $50 and the waiting time for a 30 minute grocery stop is $10. That's the rate the average person would be paying.
