We are going to Virgina Beach for 4 days then Washington DC this summer as well! Do you camp?? I found a nice campground outside of Washington called Cherry Hill and it's about $60.00 a night and has a shuttle that takes you to the train station! Just another option if you camp!

I am still hoping for a FD offer for October to convince my husband to go (his first time and mine - too many to count). It would be my first adult only trip (my DDs are both grown and can't get the time off). We are debating between 5 days at Disney or driving A1A and South Beach before our cruise. But, it has been 5 years since my last visit and I am chomping....Good luck and I feel your pain!
