Got a dedicated 2bd at BCV with a pullout?!

I just booked a two bedroom at BCV. He said it was a dedicated, but it had a queen and a pullout in the second room. Is that right??:confused3 I've stayed in dedicated 2 bedrooms before and they always had 2 queens. Has anyone stayed in these rooms? Are they different? What section are you in? What's the view??

Or did I catch a CM before his morning coffee?

There was a problem with room sizes at BCV and so, some of the dedicated 2 bedrooms have a Q and a pull out. If you want the 2 Q's you have to request that...it's a type of villa. Maybe you'll have to go on a waitlist. It's only a "problem" with some of the BCV's 2 bedroom dedicated, other DVC resorts have the 2 Q's dedicated 2 nd bedrooms.

Bobbi

PS. Maybe I mentioned this before, probably, we may not have lived in Yardley, but we lived in Yardley Hunt...and we have such wonderful memories of our time there.

There are only 25 dedicated two bedroom villas at BCV with two queen beds in the second bedroom. The others all have the queen bed and double sleeper sofa. There is only one section at BCV.

At BWV, all two bedroom villas are lockoffs with a queen bed and double sleeper sofa in the second bedroom.

At OKW, all two bedrooms have two queen beds in the second bedroom, but some are lockoff and some are dedicated.

Bobbi and Deb (or Bill) are correct.

All dedicated 2 bedrooms were intended to have 2 queen beds in the second bedroom. From what I understand there was a problem at BCV with the size of most of the dedicated 2 bedrooms so only approx. 25 of the 78 villas have 2 queens in the second bedroom, the rest have a queen and a queen sleeper sofa. From looking at the placement of the rooms (gathered from trip reports, etc.) the ones with two queen beds do not have a balcony or patio door in the second bedroom. These rooms are not uniformly spaced (none on the first floor, few pool view, more on the 3rd floor, etc.).

Take a look at Diszip's web site for the specific locations.

I found out the hard way that there are 3 different kinds of 2br's you can waitlist for - after I had part of my ressie with a 2br bed/sofa and added 1 night and they gave me 2 queen beds. And real nice of the MS rep to point that out when making the reservation (I realized it when I saw my reservation on the web site. Can you imagine NOT knowing til you get there and find out you have to change rooms? :scared1: ) It was a Saturday though, and she didn't sound like she was in a good mood at all.

So there's a lock-off, a dedicated queen with 2 beds and a dedicated queen with sleeper sofa.

Wow, in all of our stays I guess we've been very lucky and have been booked in a two queen room. I think the pullout room will work if we have a new sofa bed. My DD can sleep on the pullout. I was just hoping to avoid pulling the bed out every night. I guess since it's in the bedroom we can just make it up and leave it pulled out.

No matter how much I think I know about disney I always learn something new on this board :)

So if you're making a reservation at BC for a 2 bedroom, specifying a dedicated 2 bedroom is not enough? You need to specify a dedicate 2 bedroom with 2 queens?

Wow, I am in the midst of my first day- by- day reservation, and not one rep mentioned this. Yikes! Thanks for the info.

We waitlisted ded. 2br for either VWL or BCV for our last trip(DH set it up). VWL came through first, now I wonder if the CM had put us down for a 2Q-2br.

I know better next time to ask for "any sort of 2 br" at BCV.

We're thrilled that at VWL, they all have 2 Q's in the 2nd bedroom of the dedicated ones! And I suppose at OKW they are thrilled that they all have 2Q's, dedicated or not!

The MS rep who gave me all the info said when I make any type of day by day ressie or waitlist for a 2 BR at any resort I should ask the MS rep how many different types of 2br's they have.

I, too, made at least 12 calls to MS about ressies and waitlists and not ONE of the reps bothered to mention about the different 2br's. I only found out about them when I called because I had 2 days in a 2br dedicated with 1Q and sofabed, and 1 day in a 2br dedicated with 2 queens, and I wanted to know why they booked me that way and if I'd have to switch rooms for that type of room change.

(Of course they said I'd have to switch, and she had to waitlist me for a 2br with a pull out.) I never thought I'd have a 2br at the Beach Club that I wouldn't want, but I do!!

We loved VWL! I actually like the dedicated 2brs myself, but then again have never stayed in a lockoff. That's one of the pluses for SSR, they have alot of ded. 2br.

We're going to try to get BCV or BWV(youngest son saw the Great Hotel show and thinks BCV is it! :rotfl: ) for MLK weekend. Already have SSR booked (Thus-Mon). If we don't get that's okay, though I do have the calendar marked for 7month window and am ready for action.

And yes I am using 2 Weekend nights!:scared1: Someone is going to tell me I am not getting good value for my membership.

Hi! I surely hope you get what you want!!! So far, our June stay in 3 weeks is still at SSR and if it stays that way DH and I will seriously look at this stay with an eye toward bringing the family there instead of BWV in June for the second half of our 40th anniversary bash! The dedicated 2 bedrooms will be the reason. We don't own SSR, so it will be at the 7 month mark, and if none are available, we'll leave the ressie at BWV.

As far as using weekend points... You know, there are people who love to go, maybe HAVE to go during the Premier season, and even the weekday night points during that season scare me:scared1:

We love our DVC and have used it our way and have enjoyed it so very much, and apparently, so have YOU!!!

How about Friday or Saturday nights at HHI anytime of year!

I know about Premier season, I have a Saturday booked at VB for Easter! I wouldn't have done it if we hadn't gotten the 06 points and banked them for 07.

I wouldn't be surprised if you can get a ded. 2br at SSR, I think the number is like 360 dedicated 2br.
