And as usual, it was the typical Disney line.;)

I actually e-mailed them some photos from this board of the horrendous condition of the Legendary Years and asked them what they plan to do about it. Well, it took over a month, but they did call me back.

Exact words were - "Unfortunately, we cannot comment on your concern, as this comes from third party information. We thank you for visiting the Walt Disney World Resort and look forward to seeing you again soon." ;)

Click. Love, Disney.

So, there you have it. Unless the pictures are taken BY Disney, I guess they can't comment on them. ;)

So they think no one can see them?? :confused3

What an idiotic reply. :sad2:

Maybe it's because the pics weren't taken by YOU (That would be second party right?). Still sounds bizarre though.

They just need to build a DVC unit like they plan on doing, tell us, and get it over with. Like River Country, I asked a "former CM" who was on the WL boat with me, and he said: "Environmentally, they CANNOT DO ANYTHING with River Country!" Yea, OK whatever, but it looks BAD!

don't think they will made it a DVC unit.

the rumor I heard was the contractor still wanted to make the hotel rooms he contracted for - Disney want the suites.

do you have a link to those pictures? I'd love to see them! thanks!

While I think it is very sad and not the best view, and I would LOVE to see suites there so my family can stay in one together........I don't consider it horrendous. It does not interfere with our trip or safety. I have repeatedly requested a room with a lake/legendary view and it doesn't bother me at all. The buildings are neat and painted. The landscape is grown up by the lake, but it blocks view of some building footprints, beyond... the landscape and parking lots are maintained, new mulch was put down during our trip. Last trip there were actually some men over there for quite some time hunkered over some papers ???

Nothing like staying at a brand new resort! :) With the exception of the Poly and CR we've stayed at several Disney resorts right after it opened and it's wonderful! :)

POP was our first value resort (and only) experience ~ we stayed there when it was open just 3 months. Have been back a few times, but would love to stay in a newly opened Legendary Years :)

Hopefully, it will not be all Family Suites, but surely it would have several dedicated Family Suite buildings. :flower3:

I would love to see it become family suites. We just recently welcomed baby #3, so in a couple years we will be too big for the Values and the kiddies too young for 2 rooms. ANd WE LOVE LOVE LOVE POP!

1) I know the story.
2) The statement is correct.
3) But, the end should be a comma and not a period.
4) The rest of the sentence is "economically".

There is a link to more pictures in my signature, including some close ups taken with a zoom lens.

Those are the "third party" pics I sent them. As if it matters. Third party or not, the pics are of THEIR unfinished resort in the deplorable condition it sits in.

I just wish they wouldn't insult my intelligence by saying they can't comment on it and then saying they hope to see me again soon. I swear, some of these Disney reps are really politicians. ;)

I agree with the previous posters. Although it would be nice to see the resort finished, I think "deplorable" is a bit over the top. They look unfinished, but they certainly aren't that bad.
