Got a call from AAA

Got a call this morning at work from AAA with the prices for the 2005 package they have and room only rates. For our trip, me and DS14, in March, 2005, the package would run $1521.00. A room only discount is $77.00 for AS Sports. I figure we won't use the Unlimited Park Hopper pass they offer with the package the day we arrive or the day we leave so it may not be that great a deal. I figure 7 nights and a 5 day PH+ pass will run me about $1130.00 so not that great a deal. She is checking on the rate for POR and POFQ for me and will get back with me. Now I can't decide where to stay, POFQ, POR, CSR or AS Sports.

they can give you the AAA rate also and will be on the lookout for cheaper rates for you if any come along!

I could not find any package deals or a rate for an onsite hotel at Dreammakers.

I just called disney reservations and they said there are no AAA discounts available for 2005 yet. Has anyone else been able to get a discount? I don't want to book directly through AAA b/c I am hoping for an AP discount for January so I want to be able to just have them change the discount. I will most likely use DU.

I am the original poster and when I called WDW to see if I could apply this AAA rate that I could get booking directly through AAA to my existing reservation they said those rates were not in their computer yet. The CM said they probably would be in their computer in September. I am like you though. I didn't really want to book through AAA in case WDW came out with a discount code that I could apply to my reservation.

I think it depends on how much your AAA agent knows about Disneyworld...my AA agent gave me a quote for my 2 weeks in May 2005 that supposedly included AAA rate at AKL. She said the AA rates at Poly were all gone - I told her this did not make sense but she said that is what Disney travel told her. The quote was the exact same as what I have already booked, room only, through Disney myself - it was impossible for an AAA discount to have been included in it. (I am from west coast of Canada, and they don't book a lot of trips to WDW, more to DL).
I also called Disney back and they told me for room only AAA discount to call back in 3 weeks. This was last saturday. Happy planning!
