Got a 40% off code but...

it's in my MIL's name. Now, she does live with us, but she has not been to WDW for like 10 years and we were just there last October!

Anyway, will Disney let me use this code since we do live at the same address? Anyone have experience with this?

My mom got the card - addressed to her - and my husband called to make the reservations. They said she could reserve up to 3 rooms with the 40% off pin. We are traveling with her, our kids and an aunt too....so we booked 2rooms. Awesome deal and we are NOT annual passholders and never have been. We are not sure why she got a card, but we are so glad she did.

We got a room rate of about $950 for 7 nights at the Coronado Springs - water view.

I would call and ask. The worse they can say is no. Then you call back and ask again.

DS3 got a 40% code, and I was able to switch the code to my name since he's a minor. Your situation is different, but they may do it for you. You may have a harder time if she's not traveling with you, though. I know they said the person whom the code was sent to had to be in the travel party, and that's when I argued the whole "Ummm, he's 3...he can't be the lead guest on the reservation" angle. He was going, but I wanted to avoid the whole conversation every time I tried to book.

Yes you can. If you get a CM that says no just hang up and call back. As long as the person who "got" the pin is in the same "household" in disney's system as you are then yes you can

Agree with pp. My understanding it went by household. And your MIL is under the same roof as you.
