Gossip Girl Spinoff?

So I've heard that it's supposed to be about Lily's life. Just like the little snidbits they gave us the other night. But has anyone heard any specifics (actors, title, anything???)

Also, if you could've made a spinoff about gossip girl, would you have chosen this topic? what else would you have done?

I like the idea. I liked how they had the flashbacks in the episode.
I'd probably watch the spinoff. I really like Brittany Snow.
I do fear that the whole '80's' thing might get a little campy and over the top though. So if they can keep it realistic (like that 70's show sort of) and not tacky or full of cheesy references, it could be good.
But the Lily/Rufus storyline TOTALLY irritates me, so I hope we just see more of Lily's past in the spinoff and less Rufus.

But from what I saw of the flashbacks in that GG episode, I liked it alright.

AHH! omgosh i have been watching season 1 on DVD for the first time ever and the show is amazing! I have discs 4&5 left and the last episode i watched was they are at Lilys engament party. Umm honestly i think Lilys life would be kinda boring. i think doing on on like nate and chuck would be cool or all of them- serena, blair, jenny, dan, nate, chuck, etc- when they were kids/or when they have all grown up.

I hated that episode. It was terrible. I didn't enjoy a single thing about the flashbacks. They weren't entertaining.

Well if I figure if you're gonna make a spin off, follow the books. Which would be a Jenny spin off, but due to the fact that they butchered Jenny on the show, that'd probably suck hardcore. Still, an It Girl show would make me happy xD

I heard it was just pushed back another season. Instead of starting in the fall its starting in January
