Gospel Brunch

Has anybody got any info on the Gospel Brunch at the House of Blues. The whole idea appeals to me for some weird reason. I'd like to know what happens, is there a choir, what the foods like, do I need to make a PS, and is it suitable for my two daughters, 7 and 11, sorry almost 8 and almost 12 ?

Jana and I went to this a couple of years back with my DD and her friend (both aged 16). The food was excellent and plentyful. The entertainment was mixed styles , there was a gospel choir for a while, a band (drums, guitars) playing a sort of "soft rock" and a single singer. All of the acts were very good. The girls found it a bit embarassing as the rest of the guests on our table ( the tables are long benches and mixed groups) were really "getting into" the music and singing along. If you're not planning on joining in you might prefer to ask for a table upstairs on the balcony, it appears you still get a good view of the action, but you get individual (for your group ) tables and you don't feel odd if you don't join in ( it was all a bit much for me LOL ).

Jana and I enjoyed it, the girls had a good laugh at the other guests enthusiasm and enjoyed the food, but weren't so keen on the entertainment.

I took my parents & DD to this a couple of years back and we enjoyed it. The food was great and certainly plentiful!

The music was wonderful, but as Vernon said it can be a tad embarrassing if you're shy and dont like joining in...DD would agree!

A lovely change of pace though

I put a question on the 'non-UK' thread with only a little response, so this has been helpful.

If you look up the HOB website you get a preview of the gospel brunch via the TV ad for it!! (Sorry, I'm an IT illiterate and don't know how to be more specific!) Praise the Lord and pass the biscuits!!!!!!!!
