I'm new to the board, a quick hello..."Hi!"

Well I'm like really scared, because one of my friends whoicannotstandbecauseheisgrossrudeandCOMPLETELYretarded.
Well we have these "Character Cards" We have to give out. And its like a valentine kinda. And i found out, OR I SAW HIM WRITING, a card to ME. It's completely disgusting.
I hate his guts. He is disgusting. Lol. Not trying to be rude here...

Well I do not want to hurt his feelings. But i like someone else..
What should I do?
He has wanted to ask me out for a long time, but I keep telling him like someone else because i dont want him to ask!
So here is what i planned...

*the 8th graders deliver the cards to us so the person who sent them wont be embarrassed or anything*


*eight grader* "Here you go."
" thanks "
*i read the card, completely disgusted because he told me he likes me AGAIN*
* i walk up to him telling him I DO NOT LIKE YOU and walk away*


muahaha. i know its mean. but i DO NOT like him. and he needs to get over it. i will not, EVER go out with him.

hes the kinda boy who picks his noise, and is just disgusting. BAD HIGENE! [sp?]

First of all, why are you calling him your friend if you're saying all these rude things about him?

Secondly, don't do that. That's incredibly rude and cruel. Just sit him down and nicely say you don't have romantic feelings for him.

I have the same problem. Exactly. But if it were me I would have handled it a little different.

I am not the type of person to bash people’s thoughts and hopes.

What I would have done (and..Hopefully will never have to do on this Valentines Day *prays*) is this :


Some random guy : Here I made a valentine for ya...
Me: That was really sweet of you, its really great to know that were just friends. (EVEN IF I COMPLETELY DO NOT AGREE WITH HIS HIEGENE!)


I do it to everyone. Its like my personal signal of "I really don’t think of you like that, Or think of you at all in that matter. I hope I dont leave you like this with a bad taste in your mouth"


I dont know why...but I cannot STAND to leave a person alone like that. It breaks MY heart..to just slightly crack their heart.

I think of it as relieving pressure of a crush to make it more of a squish ...because ...squishy things are...softer.

Just let him down easy, and try to be nice to him, even if he is a little weird.

What if some day he's rich and famous? If you're mean to him, he'll never lend you cash or anything.

I have to sit next to a guy that NEVER showers, and I feel really bad. Everyone asks him if he showers and proudly says "NO". I would tell him, but Im not sure its my place since I dont know him that well. He has fun with his friends, but other then that hes not a very nice person.
I still feel bad for him.

2) Try to be NICER. NICER is the key word here. Say it with me, NICER. Kindly go up to him and say "You are a really nice guy, I'm sorry, but I do not have feelings for you."

So what? It's just a valentine card. Be happy you're getting one. I'm sure I'll be getting some valentine's from people I think are gross. I'm not gonna tell them that they're gross. But I'm not going to hug them either. I'll say 'Aww that's sweet, thanks!'. And walk away. It doesn't mean anything except for that he's your friend or that he likes you. You don't have to go out with him.

I feel disgusting if I don't take a shower everyday. I don't know why people purposefully don't do it. Maybe he has home problems?

I had a friend in 6th grade who was kind of smelly. I told her in a helpful, nice voice that maybe she should wear more deoderant or shower more often. I tried to be a sweet as possible because I can't imagine how embaressed she was. Apparently she didn't like to shower often because it really dried out and frizzed her hair. She didn't know it was affecting her body odor. Some people can only take showers only ever couple of days, and others will start to stink if they don't take one often.

I had to sit next to a girl who never showered/wore deodorant/washed her hair/brushed her hair. After about two weeks I finally had to tell her (nicely) because 1) Her stench was making it hard for me to concentrate 2) Her dandruff was getting all over my desk and 3) She smelled so bad she was making ME smell bad. She was a little embarassed but started to be more tolerable after that.

As others have said...don't be rude that's just mean.
Accept the card...tell him thanks and if he asks if you like him polietly tell him you don't like him like that.
Don't be so angry it's no a big deal...things like this happen all the time. And you never know when you'll be in his position, so think about how you would want to be let down.
And about the 'disgustingness' you can nicely mention something if you are friends with him.

I'm sorry if I sound rude but your (OP) post was kind of immature. If you don't like him, tell him that. All you have to say is "I'm sorry I don't have those kinds of feelings for." It's that siple. There is no reason for you to run away from him after you say it, or be rude to him. If you don't like him, thats fine you can like anyone you choose to. I'm sure he will understand. Again, don't take this the wrong way, its JMO.

If I seem a little aggrivated its because some of my friends have been having the same problems latley and really the solution is so easy and people always over-analyze these situations.
