are any of you thinking of having a go at this?
DH and I might Just had a look at the menu sounds easy enough :scared1:

What is on the menu Rachel?

starter -Pan-roasted scallops with tomato and herb salsa

Main course- Steak and chips with a rocket and parmesan salad

Dessert- Chocolate mousse

think we will need a few bottles of wine to go with it!!

I have visions of people watching this on a Friday night whilst eating a take-away!

Libby

I dont have a TV in my kitchen and the vision of me running backwards and forwards to the lounge or family room is just not funny......so it's a no from me..

:rotfl:

Whoops! Forgot to put in the quote. This laugh is to jjk, I really dont't think it's funny that you should be running between rooms, Joanne. Although that could help burn up some calories.

Libby

My friend is going to try it. Delia Smith she's not, so I predict chaos followed by a take-away.

Is 9pm not a bit late to start cooking a 3 course meal?

I think it could be fun though but I can't eat that late!

The menu sounds great, but I won't be cooking that late, though if you need someone to come round and sample your cooking, then I'm your Man(dy) :thumbsup2

I'm going to Sky+ it and watch it over the weekend. Might even attempt some of the dishes.

your more than welcome Mandy, however might be advisable to stop at a resteraunt on the way,As I am easily distracted when cooking especially when wine is availabe.Something tells me we wont get past the starter:rotfl:

That is exactly what I thought when I saw the advert for it Claire. I am usually thinking about taking to my bed at 9 o'clock, not cooking a 3 course meal. It's a great idea but would have been much better if they'd put it on at 5 or 6 pm.

My housemates and I love Ramsay, were going to download it on 4OD the next day and do it earlier than 9, then we can just take the laptop into the kitchen. Bada Bing! Quite excited too going to London next weekend, going to try and get an lunch time service at one of Ramsays resturaunts, or if that fails one of his Gastro Pubs!

Yep! That's me too! I've always wanted to cook scallops so will look forward to giving them a try (and at least by Sky+ ing it I can hit the 'pause' button when it all goes horribly wrong!!) :)

Chris Moyles is cooking alongside Gordon tonight - wonder how he will do ? :lmao:

Twelve mins in and it's a bit tacky and annoying - cutting to the Big Bro house????? Just to publicise other C4 progs! Thanks goodness I didnt buy the ingredients to try and cook along - very annoying camera work.
