Has anyone used on while there? How did your video turn out? Is it worth it to do? Would I just be better off taking video with my iPhone?

I did a test run with my daughter's last fall, and looking forward to using it again in a couple of weeks, a lot more. It was fun for walking around Epcot (lots of funny looks -- I had it on my head -- and some very positive comments). I also tried it for fireworks in MK, but I was on the walkway near Crystal Palace, which was way too far away for it; my regular point and shoot worked better there, fireworks looked much closer. I wasn't yet used to its depth of field, etc. You need to be pretty close to what you're filming. Haven't tried it on a ride, but she has a chest harness now, which should help. I think it will be good for parades, when I can get a decent spot (which I usually do, because I'm usually alone, so get behind a trash can or stroller or something). Wouldn't haul it along every day though, but do give it a try.

We took ours last trip, it will be coming again on our future trips. I loved it. I didn't use it to film fireworks, but did take it on Expedition Everest, hand held. The video came out great.

If you take it get the backpack touchscreen so you can see what you are filming. Also you do know you can zoom in right? Just switch field of view to narrow. But that's where the backpack is key. My next plan is for one of those quadcopter a with it....don't think they will let me use that in the world though haha

My main thought was strap it to my chest on the rides for filming. I don't really want to wear it on my head. Of course some rides on my chest won't work cause it'll be too low. Just thought it'd would be a awesome idea to film the ride experience.

It is great on the chesty. But I'd play with the angle a little. Also fun to have it aimed back at yourself(I bring a pole mount and quick attach it to the grab bars sometimes). Not sure they have a policy on it yet but they will soon im sure. Pretty soon I'll use the suction cup mount and mount it to the side of a car on big thunder. That would be quite a view

This is mecllap's daughter...I have the GoPro.

There is a smartphone app for either the iPhone or an Android phone that's FREE. Just go to whichever version of the app store that applies for your smart phone, search GoPro, and download it. You can control the camera from your smart phone, see what you're aiming at (like a viewfinder), AND view the videos, AND download them right onto your phone! You do not need to spend the money on the backpack screen for it.

I have a head mount and a chest mount harness for it. I love it. We're looking forward to playing in the parks with it in a few short weeks!

Peace,

Not going til September for 2 weeks for my 3rd anniversary. Looks like a gopro will be a purchase I will be making before we go.

I've used the phone app. It's good if you use it in a mount to help aim. But it's delayed about 5 seconds. I also like to hand hold the phone at times. The backpack is key for that
