For those of you who have access to Google Earth, I thought you might enjoy seeing what the following four locations look like when viewed from the sky.

Just copy and paste these coordinates into the Google Earth "search" box one row at a time:

Location 1:
28.418719, -81.581199

Location 2:
48.872601, 2.776753

Location 3:
35.632904, 139.880371

Location 4:
33.812093, -117.918963

Enjoy! :thumbsup2

I love Google earth. I have spent many hours wasted on it. I too have have looked at all the Disney sites - WDW, Disneyland, and Disneyland Paris (I only live 3 hours from that so it is known well).

With WDW I enjoyed looking at a map of the whole area and following it around on the screen (road layouts, monorail track, resort layouts) however part of the complex is blury and can't be seen. I can see the majority of Epcot, but it starts from the very south part of world showcase. Consequently I can't see the studios and animal kingdom. Major shame!

Does anyone else have this problem? How can you get round it?

Thanks

dizenthusiast, I have just checked out your coordinates. The first went to MK and the last went to Disneyland, however the second went to somewhere near Jersey in the English channel and the third went to somewhere in Syria!! I am doing something wrong here or are these coordinates wrong? Where are the second and third meant to go?

What's the other satellite website that has even better WDW shots? I think it's through MSN? Couldn't get it to go out of the US though.

Google earth was on the news last month for spreading virus' ... since then I dont know if they fixed the problem, but I would rather not use it.

thankyou aengus, I enjoyed hunting around. The birds eye shots work well. Funny that the aeriel shots go blurry at the same point as google earth. Does any one know why?

katytrott, are you pasting in the coordinates exactly as shown (rather than typing them in manually)? It almost sounds like on #2 and #3 you've included a "minus" sign in the second half of the coordinate or something...

The "blurriness" around Epcot I think is just due to the fact that the source GE uses for their satellite photos doesn't include the whole world at high resolution. For the "most-viewed" spots they do, but things get blurry once you move outside those areas. There is nothing you can do on your end to improve this, I'm afraid.

Very cool!

You are right dizenthusiast. I was typing the coordinates in manually. Reason being I can copy from this site but the option to paste is not available in google earth (is there in edit but is not highlighted).

My husband has just tried to look for me and I think I have to be a subscriber to google earth plus!!!!

Nevermind, I had fun touring Jersey and Syria!!!

There is a program called Key Hole, which is very cool as well. I looked up WDW, my house, Paris, anything u want they have it.

You're right -- the "paste" option isn't highlighted, but the keyboard shortcut still works. After copying the text from this site, place the cursor in the Google Earth search box, then press Ctrl-V . That should work! ;)

IT WORKED!!!!!!!!

Thanks dizenthusiast, I had been hunting for Disneyland paris and hadn't even thought to look for Tokyo disney.

Ted and Holly, I am interested as to your coordinates. I'm assuming they are for Hong Kong disney

Yes, and they beat me to it! Too bad the Google Earth pics still show HK Disney in the construction phase!
